WesterShip News No. 4, November 2002

Introduction

Dear reader,

Another year nearly passed by with ongoing difficulties in world economy and world trade.

After the elections in Germany, the social democrats intend to cut subsidies, even for the shipping industry. In paralell, the charter rates still did not recover to acceptable values. But in times, where the world economy not only in the shipping industry is suffering, it is essential to work together as close as possible.

Practice during the year has shown that our employees on board and in the office did a great and professional job. Therefore, we would like to express our sincere thanks.

Besides, we are wishing a prosperous new year to our employees and hope to get a peacefull year 2003.

Additionally, our WesterShip News has been upgraded by pictures and stories, which have been sent from our vessels. If there are any special matters of interest – please e-mail it to us.

Kind regards,

Stefan Rother
