Executive Summary Priorities and Disparities Continuing with the Prevention Agenda choices made in 2013, Tompkins County is focusing on Preventing Chronic Disease, and Promoting Mental Health and Preventing Substance Abuse as its two Prevention Agenda priorities for 2016–2018. With populations and key employers located in and just outside the City and Town of Ithaca garnering so much of the county focus, we recognize that deliberate attention must be paid to the rural populations due to their high potential for isolation from services. Thus, the rural population has been identified as our primary disparity group. In addition, health improvement initiatives will be targeting communities of color within the City of Ithaca, and more broadly, individuals who are of low socio-economic status (SES). Changes since 2013 Focus areas, goals, and objectives within the priority to Prevent Chronic Disease remain largely unchanged from those established in 2013: diabetes prevention, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and asthma action education, and tobacco use. -

2017 Annual Report 2017 Annual Letter To our fellow shareholders: Every now and then I am introduced to someone who knows, kind of, who I am and what I do and they instinctively ask, ‘‘How are things at Saga?’’ (they pronounce it ‘‘say-gah’’). I am polite and correct their pronunciation (‘‘sah-gah’’) as I am proud of the word and its history. This is usually followed by, ‘‘What is a ‘‘sah-gah?’’ My response is that there are several definitions — a common one from 1857 deems a ‘‘Saga’’ as ‘‘a long, convoluted story.’’ The second one that we prefer is ‘‘an ongoing adventure.’’ That’s what we are. Next they ask, ‘‘What do you do there?’’ (pause, pause). I, too, pause, as by saying my title doesn’t really tell what I do or what Saga does. In essence, I tell them that I am in charge of the wellness of the Company and overseer and polisher of the multiple brands of radio stations that we have. Then comes the question, ‘‘Radio stations are brands?’’ ‘‘Yes,’’ I respond. ‘‘A consistent allusion can become a brand. Each and every one of our radio stations has a created personality that requires ongoing care. That is one of the things that differentiates us from other radio companies.’’ We really care about the identity, ambiance, and mission of each and every station that belongs to Saga. We have radio stations that have been on the air for close to 100 years and we have radio stations that have been created just months ago. -

If you will be changing buses, give the driver an additional 25 cents to obtain a bus transfer. When you get on the second bus, just give that driver the transfer. Express buses cost $1.50 — they do not make as many stops as the regular buses. Bus stops are marked with a white sign with purple, green and gold stripes. They say BUS STOP and most of them (not all) list at the bottom of the sign the numbers of the buses which stop at that location. If you’ll be riding the bus several times during one day, you can buy a one-day pass for $3 from any of the bus drivers. With this you can take unlimited rides for the day. You can buy a three-day pass for $9, for unlimited rides during that period. You can buy a five-day pass for $15. If you ride the bus on a daily basis, you might want to buy a monthly bus pass for $55. The passes are color-coded by month, so you should buy the pass at the beginning of the month. THE UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER One Hundred and Eighteenth Annual Commencement Ceremonies SUNDAY, JUNE SECOND NINETEEN HUNDRED SIXTY-EIGHT In keeping with the nature of the ceremonies and in order that all may see and hear without distraction, it is requested that those in attendance refrain from smoking and conversation during the ceremonies and from moving onto the floor to take photographs. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated. Academic Attire The distinctive attire of those participating in the academic procession represents a tradition that reaches at least as far back as the fourteenth century when gowns similar to today' s became the required dress at many European universities. Gow1u were then a common form of apparel for both the clergy and the laity but today they survive chiefly in eccle siastical or academic ceremonies such as the one we shall witness this afternoon. The symbolism of the American style of regalia is described below. Variations may be observed in the attire of the graduates of for eign universities and of the several American institutions which have departed from tradition. The gowns for the three levels of degrees differ primarily in the sleeve. The bachelor's gown has long pointed sleeves and is worn closed. The master's gown is usually worn open and has long square-cut sleeves with slits through which the forearms protrude. The doctor's gown has large bell-shaped sleeves with three velvet crossbars on the upper portion of the arm and velvet trimming down the front of the gown. The mor tarboard derives from the Oxford cap and is generally black with a black tassel, although color is sometimes used to indicate the field in which the degree was awarded. -
