  • The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation Seeks a Program Officer to Join the Program Team in Southeast Michigan
The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation seeks a Program Officer to join the program team in Southeast Michigan. The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation is a grantmaking organization dedicated primarily to sustained investment in the quality of life of the people of Southeast Michigan and Western New York. The two areas reflect Ralph C. Wilson, Jr.’s devotion to his hometown of Detroit and greater Buffalo, home of his Buffalo Bills franchise. Prior to his passing in 2014, Mr. Wilson requested that a significant share of his estate be used to continue a life-long generosity of spirit by funding the Foundation that bears his name. Based in Detroit, the Foundation has a grantmaking capacity of $1.2 billion over a 20- year period, which expires January 8, 2035. This structure is consistent with Mr. Wilson’s desire for the Foundation’s impact to be immediate, substantial, measurable and overseen by those who knew him best. Reporting directly to one Vice President, the Program Officer is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of grantmaking strategies, and communications support around these strategies (both for the Foundation and for Foundation initiatives with grantees and partners). This includes writing; managing grantees, key vendors and special projects; implementing grantmaking strategies; proposal analysis and evaluation; and partnership development. The responsibilities fall into the categories of grantmaking, grant monitoring and grant evaluation, communications and community relations and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementing and managing grant making, and strong research and analysis skills. Additional required competencies include: excellent oral and written communication skills, creativity, performance focus, flexibility, detail orientation, visionary outlook, and teamwork and cooperation.

WATCH LIVE : http://mediatoday.biz/nfl/ The last time the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs met in the AFC Championship Game, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen weren't even born. Instead, Hall of Famers Jim Kelly and Joe Montana were the starting quarterbacks as the Bills bested the Chiefs 30-13 on Jan. 23, 1994. Advancing easily, the AFC's pre-Patriots dynasty moved on to their fourth straight Super Bowl appearance — and loss. Indeed, it marked the end of an era for both teams; Montana's final game and the last gasp of a Bills regime charred by the losses that mattered most. It's the cross Allen and the 2021 version of this team has to bear, that 0-4 Super Bowl record as they seek the team's first-ever NFL championship. After a long run of futility, including an 18-year playoff drought and six straight last-place finishes in the AFC East, they're on the precipice of rising again.

  • Self Study Report
Self Study Report Prepared for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education February 1, 2013 by CAZENOVIA COLLEGE Cazenovia, New York 13035 Prepared by the Self-Study Steering Committee EXECUTIVE SUMMARY “At Cazenovia, you will find the best of everything an undergraduate college has to offer. Students become part of an intellectual journey, one in which the Cazenovia College experience takes them farther than they ever dreamed of going.” President Mark Tierno BACKGROUND Cazenovia College was first accredited in 1961 and reaffirmed its accreditation in summer 2003 and again in summer 2008 with the periodic review process. At the time of the last self-study process in 2002-03, the College was recovering from administrative transition and budget challenges. To aid in that recovery, the College chose to create a five-year strategic plan as a self-study special topic. Adding to the challenge of aligning the accreditation standards with strategic plan goals/objectives, the College was one of the first Middle States’ institutions to approach a self-study utilizing the newly revised Characteristics of Excellence. The Commission acted to require a Monitoring Report to follow up on several recommendations by the evaluation team related to financial matters and assessment. That report was accepted by the Middle States Commission without a campus visit in November 2005. Throughout the 2006-07 year and into fall 2007, College constituents met regularly to create the current 2007-2012 Strategic Plan (now extended to fall 2013). That significant planning effort involved over 90 participants contributing through membership on workgroups and committees, document review, and advisory functions.

  • BUFFALO BILLS Team History
PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME TEACHER ACTIVITY GUIDE 2020-2021 EDITIOn QUARTERBACK JIM KELLY - hall of fame class of 2002 BUFFALO BILLS Team History The Buffalo Bills began their pro football life as the seventh team to be admitted into the new American Football League. The franchise was awarded to Ralph C. Wilson on October 28, 1959. Since that time, the Bills have experienced extended periods of both championship dominance and second-division frustration. The Bills’ first brush with success came in their fourth season in 1963 when they tied for the AFL Eastern division crown but lost to the Boston Patriots in a playoff. In 1964 and 1965 however, they not only won their division but defeated the San Diego Chargers each year for the AFL championship. Head Coach Lou Saban, who was named AFL Coach of the Year each year, departed after the 1965 season. Buffalo lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the 1966 AFL title game and, in doing so, just missed playing in the first Super Bowl. Then the Bills sank to the depths, winning only 13 games while losing 55 and tying two in the next five seasons. Saban returned in 1972, utilized the Bills’ superstar running back, O. J. Simpson, to the fullest extent and made the Bills competitive once again. That period was highlighted by the 2,003-yard rushing record set by Simpson in 1973. But Saban departed in mid-season 1976 and the Bills again sank into the second division until a new coach, Chuck Knox, brought them an AFC Eastern division title in 1980.
