July 2010 General Details – Fishing Season Tickets 1. An individual Fishing Season Ticket will be issued to a residential address and can only be used by the named ticket holder whose photo is on the Ticket. The Season Ticket is not transferable. For the Family Ticket, photographs of each family member must be provided as a separate ticket will be provided for each family member, to a single address. A child fishing on a family ticket must be accompanied by an adult. 2. If you change your address, please inform the Country Parks Service at the address given below immediately, so that your records can be updated. 3. In order to prevent abuse of the Season Ticket system, the County Council reserves the right for the Country Park Staff to make checks to confirm the identity of the Season Ticket users. Your co-operation in this respect is requested. In the event of such abuse the right is also reserved to withdraw the Season Ticket. For Concessionary and Junior Season Tickets, proof of entitlement is required. 4. If you need a replacement ticket the charge for this is £10. 5. The closing time for the Car Parks is displayed at each site. 6. The Season Ticket will be valid at those Country Parks managed by Leicestershire County Council at which fishing is available - Market Bosworth, Snibston and Watermead (North) Country Parks 7. The Leicestershire County Council does not accept liability, under any circumstances, for any loss, damage or injury which occurs during the use of the Country Park and/or the Car Parks. 8. Regrettably, it is not possible to give any refund on a Season Ticket once purchased. 9. The Fishing Season on Country Parks is variable and notices are posted on site to advise the dates. You will be sent a reminder during the Close Season inviting you to re-join. A new ticket will be issued for the current year. If you choose to have an Access card, and wish to renew your Season Ticket for a further season, please retain the card. It will be activated on receipt of the annual charge, in time for the start of the season. 10. The price of Fishing Season Tickets will be subject to revision from time to time. Optional Car Park Access Card for Fishing Season Ticket Holders/or key for Snibston Grange. 1. An Access Card is available for private motor vehicles for Watermead & Market Bosworth and is valid from 1st July to 31st March. Out of hours key access is available for Snibston Grange. 2. An Access Card will be issued to a residential address and can be used by anyone living at that address. The Access Card is not transferable. Only one card will be issued and it will, therefore, only be valid for the parking of one vehicle at a time. Family ticket holders may apply for an additional card at the same price. Keys for Snibston will be issued, on payment of the fee, to the Season Ticket Holder. 3. The price includes a £10 deposit and if you give up the Access Card/key in good condition and working satisfactorily, this will be refunded. 4. If you change your vehicle details or address, please inform the Country Parks Service at the address given below immediately, so that your records can be updated. 5. Possession of an Access Card does not guarantee a parking space being available. 8. The closing time for the Car Parks is displayed at each site. You may exit after the closing time, but cannot enter. 9. The Access Card will only operate at Watermead & Market Bosworth Country Parks managed by Leicestershire County Council. It cannot be used at other Country Parks. 10. The Access Card will not operate should a Special Event be held at a Country Park, when a special charge applies. 11. The Leicestershire County Council does not accept liability, under any circumstances, for any loss, damage or injury which occurs during the use of the Country Park and/or the Car Parks. 12. During the Close Season, you will be sent a renewal form to enable you to renew it for another fishing season. VAT Registration No. GB 115 3371 02, April 2006 Rev8. July 2010 FISHERY RULES Fishery Rules are subject to revision from time to time. 1. No fish shall be damaged, killed or removed. Blatant disregard for the welfare of our fish will result in the expulsion of person(s) or club(s) involved. 2. Barbless hooks only. 3. No keep nets (except in matches). No carp sacks or pike tunnels except in matches. Fish to be weighed and carefully returned. 4. Landing nets are compulsory. Unhooking mats are required for large fish. 5. Possession of and carrying a Rod licence is compulsory. You will not be allowed to fish if you cannot produce your licence and will be required to remove all tackle from the venue. 6. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times unless in possession of a season ticket. 7. You may use up to 2 rods at Snibston and Market Bosworth. You may use up to 4 rods at Watermead if in possession of 2 rod licences. 8. Fishing from numbered pegs where they are in place. Disabled pegs must be vacated at the request of a disabled angler. 9. No fishing in signposted exclusion areas (red areas). Anglers must give way to other users in areas designated ‘amber’. 10. No litter, fires, loud radios, guns, swimming, discarded tackle or unattended rods. All waste must be bagged and removed. 11. All dogs to be kept under strict control. 12. No boats of any kind (including bait boats). 13. Night fishing is restricted to 2 consecutive nights at the venue (48 hours). One night off before return. Times For the avoidance of doubt: Day Season Tickets (and single Day Tickets) are valid from dawn to dusk (as determined by Greenwich Observatory, London). Note: Watermead and Market Bosworth Parks’ access control opens at 7.00am so you will not be able to take a car onto these sites before this time unless in possession of a 24hr access card. Snibston opens at 7.30am. Night fishing: The 48 hour period at the venue allowed. A 24hr rest period must be followed before return. The optional access card will allow access to Watermead and Market Bosworth on a 24 hour basis. Rev8. July 2010 .
