It can be a role we love best, or one that causes us great insecurity. There is no formal training for parenthood. There are no clear benchmarks of success and yet it demands all our resources, skills and attention. This book is the merging of the author’s deep convictions of parenting with examples of both “When it worked” and “When it did not work”. He has also elicited the help of his sons to write their perspectives on how their experiences and memories connect (or differ from) his own. This book will share stories of parenting success, but is honest about the times of failure, too.

The annual booklet of reports will be [email protected] published in advance and will be available in the members’ section of the Priory website at least goodoakshomecare.co.uk/worcester one week before the meeting. If preferred, hard copies will be available for collection from Church House. Elections will be held for six members of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and one member of the Deanery Synod, who will also serve on the PCC. These appointments will be for periods of three years. The PCC is the body responsible for governance, determining the mission of the Priory, its Christian worship, its witness and its buildings. It is a registered Charity of which the members are Trustees. There are four Thursday evening meetings spread over the year, with an additional ‘Away Day’ (usually on a Saturday in May or June). Members are asked to serve on one or more of the five PCC Committees: Buildings and Grounds, Finance, Mission, Priory Development Plan, and Worship. Please give prayerful consideration as to whether you could serve your church in this capacity. Nomination forms are available in the APCM 2021 file in the ‘About Us’ section of the Priory website. Nominees must be at least 16 years of age, actual communicants and on the Electoral Roll of the Parish. If you have a particular question which you would like answered at the APCM, it would be helpful if you could forward it to me in advance. Thank you.
