Skibbereen and West Carbery Golf Club has transformed itself from what is seen as ‘traditional golf’ and progressed to provide golf for everyone (regardless of age or ability) in a relaxed atmosphere. PLAY The course provides a place to clear the mind, activate the senses and stretch your golfing muscles. Whatever time you have available play 6, 9 or 18 holes on our beautifully presented course. A variety of flexible golf days and membership packages are available.
LEARN We are delighted to have the only female PGA Fellow Professional in Munster as our Head Professional. Sarah Claridge, coaches golfers at every level. Her priority is to help you play better golf and have fun on the course. Your learning experiences are guaranteed to be entertaining with Sarah!
BUSINESS AND SOCIAL We are not just a golf club. We can provide a full bar, catering and small function room to cater for events such as business conferences, lunches, parties, wedding parties and funeral receptions.

Interested in learning the basics from a Pro-Golfer?
With golf now being taught in a fun way and accessible to people from all walks of life ‘learning golf in a day’ just might be the ticket. By the end of this fun packed day, you will be able to go and play golf on a course with your friends.
This day would be great for a group of friends, family or colleagues looking for a fun day out that will raise the laughter levels. (This day can be run in conjunction with other specialised days.)

What to expect A ladies day with a difference! Sarah Claridge will host your day from start to finish. There will be coaching in the morning and then you will get chance to play golf with Sarah over 18 holes in the afternoon. The benefit of this will be to watch her playing routines and also she will help you with shots around the green and course management to help you lower your score. Don’t be intimidated by playing with Sarah as she has a relaxed approach that will make you feel confident and comfortable on the course. Below is an example itinerary of the day.

Society Golf Days are a great way to spend time with a group of friends when playing golf is your main objective. We would suggest that you play 9 holes in the morning and 18 holes in the afternoon or the other way round if you would like to avail of our evening ‘Adventure trips’ afterwards.
