HOW TOUGH ARE YA? • Out of their 22 regular season matches, UCF played 12 ranked opponents, many of them among the best in the nation • OUt of the 12 ranked matchups, the Knights played 6 top-20 teams #2 Wake Forest, #4 Florida, #4 Virginia, #10 Stanford, #13 Illinois and #16 Michigan • UCF went 5-7 against ranked opponents, beating two top-30 teams. A WIN WOULD • At the start of the season, five of UCF’s opponents were ranked and two more had recieved votes. • The Knights have been in most every match they have played against a ranked team. • Be better than a loss. • Earn the Knights their first ever victory in the GOOSE-EGGS, DOUGHNUTS AND SWEEPS, OH MY! NCAA Tournament. • Out of UCF’s 15 victories, 11 of them were shutouts. • Make it two straight victories against FSU • The shutouts came against some quality opponents as the Knights blanked #26 Oklahoma State, #29 Miami (FL), and #44 USF. • The Knights went on “sweep streaks” of five matches twice this season. They began their 1st five match sweep streak topping UAB and Samford in a double header followed by a double header with Bethune-Cookman. UCF proved they SOCIAL KNIGHTS could contine doing this by sweeping #29 Miami on College MatchDay. To end the regular season, the Knights swept Twitter: UCF_MTennis FAU, #44 USF, and Memphis. Their only solo doughnut came over #26 Oklahoma State. • Prior to this season, the last time UCF swept three straight opponents was back in 2000, when the Knights topped Instagram: UCF.MTennis Northern Illinois, Tennessee-Martin, and Morehead State by scores of 7-0.
