Village, Mulugu Handal, Jayashankcu Bhupalpally Dist. over an extent of 7.42Ha. The State Govt. nas recommended for grant of mining lease for Laterite over an extent of 7.42 Ha only in favor of M's. Parameswara Mines & Minerals. M/s. Parameswara Mines & Minerals are renuested to submit for approval of Quarry Plan

Under Rule 7 (B) of T.S.M.M.C. -1966 vide Notice No. 16035 Hl-l /2016 Dated. 07 - 01 - 2017 (Annexure-I).

Accordingly the Quarry Plan prepared and submitted for scrutiny Underrule 7 (B) of G.O.Ms 37 Ind& Com.CM.]) Dept, dated. 26-07-2016 by RQP who is recognised by IBM and DMG vid Reg.No.RQP/DMG/HYD/056'2002. Reg.No. RQP/IBM/HYD. 226/2003/A ii) Infrastructure and communication The area is located at a distance of 2.2.km. from Ramachendrapuram Village due south west. Post office, electricity, primary school and bus facilities are available at the Ramachendrapuram Village. For other facilities, Mulugu, Jayashankar Bhupalpally District is the nearcsi place, which is locaicd at 10.5 km. from the subject area.

3) Geology and Exploration

A surface geological map (Plate-3) with the deposit marked on it is prepared after conducting a topographical survey. Since the quarry is under operation by exploitation the deposit is exposed to surface level.

In future it is proposed to do quarry by developing a face from west to east direction. In

this area the Larerite deposit is already exposed. Thus the future exploration is not required

General geology :

The Quarry lease area is represented by a single formation known as shale which is the

bed rock and is highly weathered and decomposed resulting in the formation of Laterite.

The Laterisation of this area has taken place, during proxerozoic age continued

intermittently upto the recent period. The effective agents for the formadon of Laterite

from shales of the applied area one moderate rainfall, prolonged weathering and tropical r climatic conditions.

Topography

The subject area belongs to a full of the mounds. There is a maximum relief of 10.0 m towarus northeast side, from north of the mound. The surface rainwater flows through perennial water course to the slope of the mound as shown in plaie-1. The surroundings of the subject areas are being used for agriculture. The subject area is not contains

vegetation of bushes and trees.

r- Local Geology:

Laterite is blanket like deposit overtying shales in the entire lease area which has slightly C undulating topography.

Laterite is well exposed and has a thickness of 6 to 8 mts in the entire area. Existing pits

were found in the applied area. Besides, there are already existing mining leaser in

r- surroundings of the applied area where the Laierite was well exposed. The applied mining lease area was demarcated on the ground with reference to electrical

pillar (11). Later the topographical survey of the area was carried out by theodalite.

Based on topographical survey and geological features, collected from the surface, the

topographical cum geological plan is prepared on 1:1000 scales with 2.m contour interval

and enclosed as plate-3.

Sampling: Laierite samples are collected from pits The samples have been analysed

chemically the same analysis report of these samples is enclosed as Annexure-IL

ii) Geological Section:

By make use of the surface out crops of the minerals and as well as pits data, the

geological cross sections were prepared across the mineral body as shown in plate-3 &

cj Exploration Already Carried in the area:

Recommended area for grant of mining lease has been demarcated on the ground with

reference to electrical pillar (11), which is located at southwest comer of the applied area.

Later the topographical survey of the area is carried out and the revenue pillar (11) is

taken as BM 26Um. Even though the Laterite is well exposed to smTace in this area, five

pits were digged from top of the mound to a depth of 6-8 m. each and it is noticed that the

pit holes that the mineral is not continuing further depth beyond 8m. The locations of

these pit holes are shown on geological plan as TBW-1- TBW-5.

7 o- P it -k The Laterite reserves are calculated by cross sectional method under proved, category. The mineral thickness is proved up to 6.0 to 8.0m from the surface on the top of the mound 6.C m on the suriace ot the plain land. Hence, the reserves are calculated by taking 6 xo 8mtrs depth is assigned for proved i measured (IWC-lll) category. Since there is no chance for coixtinuation of the mineral towards depxh.

Geometry of the deposit The geological traverses on the outcrops and the study of exposures, in the area facilitated to access the shape and size of the depusil in quarry xease applied area. The

laterite deposit is occurring as in the form of blanKet like deposit overlying shale in the entire lease area, which has slightly undulating topography and small boulders are above groxmd level (Fig 1).

Method of estimation of reserves The geological reserves have been estimated by cross sectional method. The proved / measured categories (UNFC-111) are those reserves which are exposed in three dimensions by actual trial mining/exploradon. The present case, the Laterite deposit is exposed in its strike direction as well as across the strike. The reserves are estimated by multiplying the cross sectional area with influence distance of sections, tonnage factor of

Laterite i.e. 2.4 On an average, 6-8Mtrs. depth is assigned for proved / measured category (UNFC-lll) Cross sections have been drawn along the strike length at A-A' to C-C (R.F. Plate Nos. 3&4). The cross sectional area reserves have been measured and the

volume of the geological reserves arrived by multiplying the sectional area with the influence at cross section, tonnage factor of Laterite i.e. 2.4. From the experience at actual mining all the mineral available aoes not qualify for the export. It is estimated from the past experience that only 90% of the laterite excavated will result in marketable Laterite. Therefore, the volume of rock is multiplied with a recovery factor of 90% to I obxain geological reserves, the balance 10% shall account for sub or marginal grade. Economic marketable 1087488Tonnes reserves v) To cut down cost and for actueving targeted production of Laterite the operauons are planned to be carried out partly manually and partly by deploying machinery that poclain is to be deployed for removal. The proposed mining in the subject area is a semi mechanised, open cast method. Mining of Laterite in this area, involved of removing 3m height benches one after the other from higher levels to lower levels. A safe slope angle

vill be naintained throughout the mining operator. Apart from this mechanization is required for this mining.

Method of mining

Laterite exploration of the lease hold area is carried out by semi mechanised opencast method in the form of benches. Regulation III of MMR, 1961 shall be implemented and distance of 7.5 mts from the perimeter of the Q.L. area boundary shall be kept free from Quarry. All other saiety precautions shall be under taken during transportation and material nandling as per the provisions of MMR 1961. Rest shed, drinking water and iirsl aid facilities shall be provided near the work spot. The central part i.e. R.L 262 -249m are chosen for the first five years of mining operations for Laterite (shown plate No.4 & 4A/) It is expected that the mine will be operated for 250 days in a year. There will not be much development work involved in proposed mining area because, the Laterite is exposed above the ground level without any overburden on top of the deposit. In this plan period, it is proposed to raise about Laterite 97583Tonnes per year an average The workings will be started on eastern side of the formation and then wotkings will be advanced towards southern side along the formation for Laterite production in every year.

For the first five years, the production will be obtained by excavating two benches of 3m

height each on top of the mound from 262 R.L. to 249rn. R.L. During first five years, the production an average per year 583 T of Laterite will be obtained from a single pit by excavating two benches on Eastern to Western and western to eastern side of the iormation.The benches will be oriented in N-S direction as shown in plate-1.

1st year: The Mine face will extend, to north side it falls under X-Y section, bencn level 262-252m, sectional area 312sq.m, and Sectional influence 135 m. The bench will be developed as described earlier and the anticipated quantity 90979 T of Laterite will be extracted to be won. 2nd year: The second year development will be between 260-252m bench level to nortrLSide section X-Y sectional area 326sq.m, sectional influence 133m in this-way-a total of 93653T of Laterite will be extracted to be won.

3rd year: The third year development will be between 258-249m bench level cowards north, section X-Ysectional area 344 sq.m sectional intluence 127 m, the total quantity of Laterite 943661 will be extracted mineral be recovered. 4th year: The fourth >ear development will be between 258-249m bench level towards north, section X-Y sectional area 360 sq.m sectional influence 130m, the total quantity of Laterite 101088 f will be extracted mineral be recovered.

Liquid waste (Measures to control mine drainage, runoff from waste dumps)

The operation of the mine will not generate any appreciable quantity of liquid waste. The ground ,vater table in this belt 60 m below from the surface and since the quarry depth will not react upto this depth in the near future, flooding by ground water is not

anticipated. However during rainy months, there is a possibility of wet conditions developing in the working pit. This will be minimized, if not altogether eliminated, by adopting simple techniques like digging tren ches all round to drain off rain water and presenting surface run off from entering and flooding working pit. The mine drainage can

be effectively managed and the pit kept dry to keep up the production schedule. vui Environmental management plan

Water regime

There are no perennial water sources in and around the applied area.The rainwater flows through the slopes of the area and joins to seasonal watercourse.

Flora & Fauna

The subject area does not have any trees except some thorn) busnes. There is no report of existence of wild animals in this region.

Quality of air, ambient noise level and water

The subject area is away from industries and villages. So the air ana water is fresh and unpolluted in this area.

Climatic condition

The area has a tropical climate. The peak summer will be in the month of May. Highest temperature of 460c is recorded in this area during the month of May and the lowest temperature of 130c is recorded in the month of January. During 2015-2016 the rainfall of this area is about 160mm. Humiui settlements

The inhabitancies of the surrounding villages are mainly agriculture. Mining is on small

there will not be much impact on Socio-Tconomics of the local inhabitant.

Tue Laterite soil is also utilized in the cement industries, hence the storage and preservation of soil is not required.

5.0 PROGRESSIVE QUARRY CLOSER PLAN (Under Rule 23 (B) ofMCDR 1988)

INTRODUCTION

No Quarry Closure is proposed in the first four /ears period oecause the quarrying will be continued to further depths and Quarry Closure could be possible only after completion of quarrying up to the proposed depths.

The Quarry Closure Plan has been prepared by following guidelines approved by IBM. The main paras are common points, which are already discussed in Quarry Plan.

Quality of the ground water is potable. However the quarrying activity does not show any impact on the quality of the ground water in the vicinity of the qyarry lease area, however providing silting pits and soak away pits can solve the problem if any.

Air Quality Management

At present the air in this area is fresh and unpolluted because the area is away from industries and villages. Due to mining the air will not be get polluted slightly at the time of mining and at the time of over burden removal The air pollution will be controlled within the ambient air quality standards (24 hours) i.e. SC2 = POucj/m3^ NO^= 80uq/m3

To mitigate the emergency, planning is the first & four most thing, i.e. recognizing the accident or possible, assessing the consequences of such possible accidents and deciding on emergency planning / procedures in advance both on site & off site that would necessary to be implemented I the event of emergency without any delay and confusion.

Proper bench design in quarries and observing safety measures for transportation, storage, bandliag of explosives S fuels, etc, aotitL.roaintenance of vehicieb, roads, and fire prevention measures shall go in preventing disaster / accidents.

^uanving shall be carried out as per MMR 1961 & Rules and regulations applicable the project in charge is having a mobile communication for quick intimation of information if need arises.

The Applicant is committed to identify the possible causes for potential disaster and draw a code of emergency measures and procedures to deal with such disasters, which is otherwise also advised by DGMS through their Circulars.

The quarry is located at 5.0 Km from Mallampally town having good transport and communication systems.

he quarry is having good communication like telephone & mobile facility. In case of any minor / major accidents within the quarry, the same will be communicated to the Agent by the Mines Manager and intern he will inform to the Revenue Authorities, Police, Fire Department, DGMS etc for action.

A vehicle is kept all the time at the quarry site for conveyance.

At quarry level first aid will provide and person shall be shifted to nearby hospital at Mallampally which is having all basic amenities.

Care & Maintenance during temporary Discontinuance

There are no proposals to discontinue the operations even temporarily since it is yet to commence the quarry operations. During unforeseen circumstances, the essential staff shall be deployed suitably till the situations are changed. In case of any temporary discontinuation of quarrying operation due to any unforeseen circumstances, proper care of quany, mining machinery and personnel would become imperative and will be taken care. Economic Repercussions of Closure of Mine and Man Power retrenchments

FINANCIAL ASSURANCE

The financial assurance to the State Govt. authority will oe given depending on the area utilized in quarry lease for different activities.
