A quote by Albert Einstein used during Mental

Health Week “Life is like riding a bicycle – to keep your balance you have to keep moving.” CW This strange year has left its mark on most of us in some way, and sadly many were not in a good Cannon Williamson place to cope before all this began. So why did they use this quote? Immediately I thought of Chartered Certified those who felt stuck in a dark place in their lives Accountants including those who have lost jobs or have a greatly increased sense of

Registered Auditors loneliness or worries. Some who feel they can’t move on. Jesus came across lots of such people I think, while avoiding those who saw

Some did and saw the benefit, as we can BUSINESS START-UP tell by the way they were remembered and recited through the centuries! COMPLIANCE SERVICES One of the most loved is the “Prodigal Son.” A farmer has two sons, one

decides he’s had enough of the farm and knowing his family is wealthy, asks Tel: 01775 760066 for his share in advance so he can go off into the world and enjoy it. He spends or gambles it away and penniless, ends up working on a pig farm, www.cannon-williamson.co.uk where having lost all, and being in the deepest darkest place he could be, starts to realise how comfortable his life at home actually was. So, he finds his humility and decides to go home and admit his foolishness in the hope of some pity and a small income. His repentance is richly rewarded, beginning with his father running down the road to greet him, giving him fine clothes to replace his rags, and planning a party in his honour. Jesus dares to say that every one who has gone astray, suffering through bad life choices has the chance to turn back to their loving heavenly father who gave them the gift of life and how overjoyed God will be and how he will welcome them back to him with open arms. God is there if you will turn to him, and if you are truly repentant, he can transform your life. As in

Einstein’s little parable above, moving on can give you the balance you need to get your life back on track. Another point is to do with the second son in the parable. Obviously resentful he complained to his Dad that he’d never had such a party given for him! His father replied that he ought to know that he was always loved and could have asked for anything his father could give him. So often we forget to put our problem before God, and plough on thinking how burdened we are and miss how much God is able to do for us if we ask? None of us knows what will happen over the next few months hold, let alone beyond. But be assured that God loves you so very much, and he is wanting to share his love and all the treasures of his vast kingdom with you.
