UCSB DISTRIBUTED SYSTEM LAB Position: Research Assistant June 2011 – Present  Implemented the Transaction management layer of G-Store, a scalable data store with transactional multi-key access functionality, using Strict Two Phase Locking (S2PL) to control concurrency.  Implemented an independent working system following a regular Apache HBase key-value store implementation and using the Two Phase Commit protocol (2PC) to coordinate the participating nodes.
