Public Notice Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended) PUBLIC NOTICE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED) WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VELO BIRMINGHAM, WORCESTERSHIRE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS)(SPECIAL EVENT) ORDER 2017 NOTICE is hereby given that Worcestershire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to facilitate the holding of the Velo Birmingham Cycle Sportive event through Worcestershire on 24 September 2017. The effect of the order would be that on 24 September 2014 there will be road closures to ensure the safety of the 15,000 anticipated cyclists and public as this major sporting event passes through the areas of Wyre Forest District Council, Malvern Hills District Council, Wychavon District Council and Bromsgrove District Council. The route is set out in the attached plan and road closures or alterations detailed below. There are exemptions to the restrictions for emergency services, authorised event officials, safety officials to access the closed roads as necessary and to enable pedestrian access to premises. Approximate times of closures in specific areas are set out on the schedule to this notice, but are subject to change at any time There is no statutory process for objecting to the proposed Order. The event organisers CSM have already undertaken widespread public engagement and resolved or mitigated many potential problems and accordingly the County Council intends to make the proposed road closures to support the major event. It recognises that this will cause disruption and the County Council wishes to take into account and seek to mitigate as far as practicable particular problems the event may cause. Specific issues not yet raised should be advised as soon as possible in writing to us at [email protected] and copied to CSM e-mail [email protected], to enable prompt attention or to Ed Dursley, Streetworks & Events, Network Control, Worcestershire County Council, New Highways House, Warndon Depot, Pershore Lane, Worcester, WR4 0AA. We can only consider comments received by 14 August 2017, given the need to finalise planning the event. Following that date, the final decision on the details of the event and on the proposed Order will be made as soon as practicable after 14 August and the public notified. The Order is intended to be in operation only on 24 September 2017 and during the times set out for the particular roads. A map of the affected roads and a web-version of this notice can be seen on http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/directory/34/public_notices_directory SIMON MALLINSON Head of Legal and Democratic Services County Hall Spetchley Road Worcester DRAFT 31 July 2017 SCHEDULE Part 1 – Wyre Forest District Area 24 September 2017 Anticipated Road Closure times (please refer to Area Name set out in Column 2 of the table below): VELO BIRMINGHAM CYCLE SPORTIVE – 24th September 2017 Worcestershire Velo Birmingham Route - Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders Wyre Forest District Area Road Name Area Name From To A451 Iverley :County Boundary Beech Tree Lane Stourbridge 06:00 – 11:00hrs Road C2061 Beech Caunsall Stourbridge Road Caunsall Road Tree Lane 06:00 – 11:00hrs C2061Caunsall Caunsall Beech Tree Lane A449 Road 06:00 – 11:00hrs Wolverhampton Road A449 Caunsall Caunsall Road County boundary Wolverhampton 06:00 – 11:00hrs with Staffordshire Road C2019 Gipsy Blakeshall County boundary with Blakeshall Lane Lane 07:30 – 14:30hrs Staffordshire (Cookley Lane) C2019 Wolverley Gipsy Lane Wolverley Road Blakeshall 07:30 – 14:30hrs Lane B4189 Franche Wolverley Blakeshall Lane B4190 roundabout Road 07:30 – 14:30hrs B4189 B4190 Wolverley Franche Road 07:30 – 14:30hrs Roundabout B4189 Wolverley B4190 roundabout A442 Wolverley 07:30 – 14:30hrs A442 Kidderminster B4189 B4190 Wolverley Bridgnorth 07:30 – 14:30hrs Road Road B4190 Kidderminster Bridgnorth Road Habberley Road Habberley 07:30 – 14:30hrs Lane B4190 Bewdley Habberley Lane Kidderminster Habberley 07:30 – 14:30hrs Road (Catchems Road End) B4190 Bewdley Habberley Lane Load Street Kidderminster 07:30 – 14:30hrs Road B4190 Load Bewdley Kidderminster Road High Street Street 07:30 – 14:30hrs B4194 High Bewdley Load Street Lax Lane Street 07:30 – 14:30hrs B4194 Bewdley, Lax Lane A451 Dunley Road Ribbesford Ribbesford (crossroads) DRAFT Road 07:30 – 14:30hrs A451 Dunley Stourport n/a n/a Road 07:30 – 14:30hrs crossroads A451 Dunley Stourport, B4194 Ribbesford Road Malvern Hills Road Dunley District boundary 07:30 – 14:30hrs C2059 Chaddesley A448 Kidderminster Road Dordale Road Woodcote Corbett Parish (Bromsgrove district) (Bromsgrove Lane 09:00 – 17:15hrs district) NB The no right turn order for Catchems End, Bewdley will be suspended to enable the event. Home Choice Plus has been designed to improve access to affordable housing. The advantage is that you only register once and the scheme allows you to view and bid on available properties for which you are eligible across all of the districts. Home Choice Plus has been developed by a number of Local Authorities and Housing Associations working in partnership. Home Choice Plus is a way of allocating housing and advertising other housing options across the participating Local Authority areas. (Home Choice Plus will also be used for advertising other housing options such as private rents and intermediate rents). This booklet explains how to look for housing across all of the Districts involved in this scheme. Please see website for further information. Who is eligible to join the Home Choice Plus register? • Some people travelling to the United Kingdom are not entitled to Housing Association accommodation on the basis of their immigration status. • You may be excluded if you have a history of serious rent arrears or anti social behaviour.

  • Ribbesford Meadows Teams
Date: 05.02.2019 Ground: 81 Match: 23 (2018/2019 season) Venue: Ribbesford Meadows Teams: Bewdley Town V Smethwick Rangers Competition: West Midlands Regional League Premier Division Admission: £3 Final Score: 5-0 (H/T 3-0) Referee: Not Known Attendance: 22 (Head Count) Mileage to venue and return: 41.2 Miles Programme: £1 Introduction This game was the third time in a row that I had attempted to take in a midweek game of football. Two weeks ago, I arrived at the Aspray Arena to watch Dudley Town V Black Country Rangers, but the snow came down with force and the game was postponed with around half hour to go too kick off. Last Tuesday I had planned to visit Wellbeing Park for the ‘El Stonio’ between Stone Dominoes V Stone Old Alleynians, but that was postponed earlier in the day due to more bad weather. So, it goes without saying that I was very pleased to see an improvement in the weather and for this game at Ribbesford Meadows to go ahead. As this was a midweek match, I went straight to the venue directly from my place of work in Atcham, Shropshire. My route from work took me the usual way home too Much Wenlock but instead of turning right in Much Wenlock and towards my, HQ in South Shropshire I travelled towards the Shropshire Village of Morville. From Morville I travelled through more Shropshire Villages – Glazeley, Billingsley and Button Oak to name but a few before arriving in Bewdley. As is my usual practise, I found the location of the ground which is located in the Village of Ribbesford, 1.3 miles from Bewdley.
