Applied Wisdom Devas The consciousness of the overshadowing Divine Plan is the consciousness of the Christ. The Plan in its form nature—that is, in its activity aspect as form—is of the highest order of deva available to the human kingdom on this planet. It is the deva, the order of devas, referred to as the vestures or the risen Holy Ghost Aspect. This, then, is the overshadowing Divine Plan as held in focus by the consciousness of Christ within the mind of Christ—that mind being the risen Holy Ghost Aspect—the form nature of the Divine Plan itself. Next we have the focal point of consciousness which is the Ashramic Group Life, with the etheric light body of the Planetary Logos as the form nature or the deva of the Ashramic Group Life. The key to contact with and control of the devas who constitute your form nature lies in this concept of the consciousness establishing itself in a focal point behind the breath. It is the fact that it is the nature of the form to breathe. It is not the nature of the consciousness to breathe. Devas are controlled via the appropriation of their breath. It is the direction of their life toward the manifestation of a given purpose. The completion of the alignment, or the completion of the circuit which is the completion of the alignment, can be made only via the appropriation by the consciousness of the life of the substantial forces on the lowest plane of appearance and the direction of that life back to the overshadowing source or the origin of the alignment. The student of the Wisdom is more than a Soul. He is a part of the Divine Plan in manifestation, and it is as that Divine Plan in manifestation that the protective power and presence of the Christ is invoked around him. Such protection not only throws a light upon his spiritual path of endeavor, both in consciousness and the outer experience which he must enter, through which he must pass, but it also screens, so to speak, those forces impacting his instrument from horizontally screening out all that would impact him which is out of harmony with his expression of the Divine Plan. At the same time, certain devas who are particularly affiliated with the Ashramic endeavor are invoked into a specific activity—that of sealing the solar plexus center of the new student in such a way as to provide the ultimate in protection for him. Immediately after the initiation of this particular work, he then begins to build the Soul-mind and brain alignment. Surprisingly enough, the greatest glamour in regard to this particular subject lies in the area of the branches of clairaudience and clairvoyance—the idea of Masters appearing and of talking to disciples. If a Master appears and talks to you, he will do so in a physical body in company with others. He will not appear in some astral form, neither will he ever speak to you in words in astral or mental levels. You have no way of ascertaining who the owner of such a voice or appearance might be. It is a rather simple matter for the mind itself to conjure up such a vision, for it to deliver to the consciousness such words. It is also a rather simple matter, in certain cases of advanced sensitivity beyond the expansion of consciousness, for one to come into contact with an impostor on astral levels. You have no way of knowing the difference between a Master of the White Lodge if he were to appear before you or to speak with you in such a way, and shall we say, a member of the Black Lodge or some discarnate entity or even a misdirected deva. The triangle of Masters responsible for this Thought-form Presentation of the Wisdom have, as they entered into their creative work, created a group of devas. These devas carry the Wisdom. They are the vehicles, in a sense, through which that Wisdom is transmitted from its higher Devas, A Compilation, Page 3! abstract meaning into its concrete facts and knowledge. They constitute the messengers of the Wisdom itself, taking that Wisdom from its natural habitat, so to speak, on the level of the Soul within the Ashramic Group Life and carry it to the student. Now they transmit, to the devic life of the student himself and to his consciousness, the Wisdom for which they are the vehicles, which they contain. As the lesson is projected, as the spoken word is sounded, these devas are not created by the teacher, but are released—called into action, directed, assigned to this particular student body. When a student leaves the class, he is attended by these particular devas who go with him from the class into his daily life and affairs and aid his comprehension of the Wisdom. The deva is a life, the deva is an entity. Remember that the devic evolution is an evolution parallel to that of consciousness. It is the evolution of energy, force, and substance, the evolution of intelligence itself as the negative polarity of spirit. Think again of the basic triangle of manifestation. There are the positive and negative poles of matter itself—spirit and matter. You remember, the positive pole and the negative pole are the highest and the lowest frequencies of one energy. Spirit is matter vibrating at its highest frequency, and matter is spirit vibrating at its lowest frequency. Within the magnetic field created by these two frequencies of one energy, consciousness is born. That consciousness is differentiated from spirit and matter. It is an evolution of itself—the evolution of consciousness, of the Soul—the magnetic field between spirit and matter, spirit and matter being the positive and negative poles of one energy. That one energy is the devic evolution from its highest aspect to its lowest aspect—spirit to matter. Those devas with which you come into contact are the devas which exist from the level of the Conscious Soul, the Overshadowing Soul within the Ashramic Group Life to your own focus within the instrument. These are the frequencies of matter with which you are in contact, and these are the devas that we refer to when we speak of devic forces insofar as you are concerned. This evolution of devic life continues clear on up to its highest aspect, which is Spirit. Your bodies are made up of these three frequencies of matter which we define as mental, astral, and etheric. They constitute within themselves devas. The mental body is a deva, with which your consciousness is specifically related. The astral body is another deva with which you are specifically related. The etheric body is another one with which you are specifically related. Those bodies, these three devas, are evolving just as you are evolving, but theirs is the evolution of intelligence, the evolution of the negative polarity of the one energy. Yours is the evolution of consciousness. It is via the cooperative relationship between you and your devas that the growth of both is achieved. Yours is the ability to impress upon your devas that which you are, in consciousness, and through the devas to express that which you are through their ability to receive that impression and to carry it out into expression, to reflect it, to depict it to you the consciousness. Thus evolves the consciousness and the devas. These are parallel evolutions, closely related. Within the Ashramic Group Life, there are those devas which are made up of the frequencies of matter to which the consciousness, at that level, is specifically related—this being the midway point between the lower pole (the negative pole) and the positive, that point where spirit and matter are merging together. Here, these devas are of a much higher evolution than those of the instrument itself. Each member of the Hierarchy, from the senior disciple (the focal point of an Ashram) to the Soul on the periphery of the Ashram, has under his jurisdiction certain groups of devas. These are his to direct into activity, and again—according to his impression upon them and their ability to carry that impression into outer expression—both of them evolve, the consciousness and the deva. Devas, A Compilation, Page 4! The triangle of Masters responsible for the creation of the matter of this Thought-form Presentation of the Wisdom—selected from those devic lives within their jurisdiction a certain group of devas to act as the messengers of the Wisdom between the Ashram and the student body of the Wisdom. The Master M., the Master D.K., and myself impressed upon this group of devas the intent to carry the Wisdom as messengers to the student body. They also impressed upon them the direction to enter into action in response to the Teacher of the Wisdom who is given, in the very fact that he is a teacher, the right to direct and release these devas, to call them into activity. The method by which they are called into activity is that of the spoken word. The lesson material was written in such a way as to be mantric in nature. A mantra is certain sounds in relationship to one another which when sounded, when spoken, direct the devas into their particular activity. The lesson material in its mantric nature is the sound which calls these devas that carry the Wisdom into their specific activity.
