Freshers’ Day function was organized in the Institute to welcome first year Engineering students on 27/08/2014. Mr. Mahantesh Vakkund, Alumnus 2006 passed out from Mech Dept., presently working as a Senior Design Engineer, Airbus Industries, Germany and Miss. Prashma Bangera, Alumnus 2013 passed out from ECE Dept., presently working as a Associate Software Engineer, Accenture Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, were the Guests of honor and shared their experiences with staff and students during the function. At the same time Mr. Mahantesh Vakkund and Miss. Prashma Bangera were felicitated by the Institute during the occasion.

An Alumni Interactive session was conducted on 27/08/2014 in the mechanical department on the occasion of freshers’ day function with all students and staff of Mechanical Engg. on “How to face Interview”, “Professionalism” & “Career Guidance” which was delivered by Mr. Mahantesh Vakkund, Alumnus 2006 passed out from Mech Dept., presently working as a Senior Design Engineer, Airbus Industries, Germany and Mr. Manjunath Shetter, Alumnus 2006 passed out from Mech Dept., presently working as a Assistant Manager in Dettroit Mold India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore.

An Alumni Interactive session was conducted on 27/08/2014 in the Electronics & Communication Engg. Department with final year students and staff of Electronics & Communication Engg. on “Success in Engineering” which was delivered by Miss. Prashma Bangera, Alumnus 2013 passed out from ECE Dept., presently working as a Associate Software Engineer, Accenture Pvt. Ltd., Chennai and Miss Swati Yadav, Alumnus 2014 passed out from ECE Dept., presently working as a Programmer Analyst Trainee in Cognizant Technology Solution, Pune.

An Alumni Interactive session was conducted on 13/09/2014 in the Computer Science & Engg. Department on the occasion of freshers’ day function with all final year students and staff of Computer Science & Engg. On “How to start a small scale industry & suggestions for jobs” which was delivered by Mr. Amit Jagadale, 2013 passed out of CSE Engg. Presently working as a Director of InsproIT, Pune.

Miss Shubha Baravani an alumnus of EEE Dept of HIT, 2009 passed out, presently working as a lecturer at JCE, belgaum has been invited as a Jury member for a national level “Flip la” event conducted under HIT Quest 2014 on 11th October 2014.

Mr Abhaykumar Inchal an alumnus of CSE Dept of HIT, 2004 passed out, presently working as a Asst Prof & HOD, Dept of CSE, VDRIT, Halyal has been invited as a Jury member for a national level “C Coding” event & Mr. Kuldeep Sambrekar an alumnus of CSE Dept of HIT, 2006 passed out, presently working as a Asst Prof, Dept of CSE,GIT, Belgaum has been invited as a Jury member for a national level “Idea hitting” event conducted under HIT Quest 2014 on 11th October 2014.

Mr Raju Hebbale an alumnus of ECE Dept of HIT, 2004 passed out, presently working as a Asst. Prof. KLECET, Chikodi has been invited as a Jury member for a national level “Trigger IT” event & Mr. Satish B Shindhe an alumnus of ECE Dept of HIT, 2005 passed out, presently working as a Asst. Prof. SGBIT, Belgaum has been invited as a Jury member for a national level “Code Master” event conducted under HIT Quest 2014 on 11th October 2014.

SJPN Trust’s Hirasugar Institute of Technology, Nidasoshi has successfully organized an Alumni Meet at Hotel Sri Grand Inn, Gandhinagar, Bangalore on 8th February 2015. Total 155 alumni working at various places & positions throughout the country attended the meet. Mr. Sachin Kulkarni an alumnus of HIT presently working as QA Lead in GT Nexus Software Pvt Ltd, Bangalore was invited as Chief Guest, who addressed the gathering and told to cultivate good qualities to lead successful life. Mrs. Geeta Sanikop, another alumnus of HIT, presently working as Test Lead in Motorola Mobility, Bangalore was the Guest of Honor and expressed her views and feelings about the institute. Dr. N.C.Hiremath, Principal, HIT, Nidasoshi presided over the function and gave presidential remarks. He told the role of alumni in the development of the Institute. Prof. Onkar Heddurshetti, Chief Alumni Coordinator, Alumni Association, HIT,Nidasoshi organized the Alumni Meet along with Alumni Coordinators of all the Departments of HIT Prof. Aruna Daptardar, Prof. Nyamat Patel, Prof. Mahesh Hipparagi & Prof. Pramod Murari. He delivered introductory speech and explained about the objectives of Alumni Association. Alumni Association, HIT, Bangalore Chapter was inaugurated by lighting the lamp during the occasion. Mr. Mahantesh Vakkund and Mr. Mahantesh Alure, Alumni of HIT spoke on behalf of Bangalore Chapter. Various Alumni members expressed their feelings towards the Institute and donated books & monetary contributions and gave suggestions for the development of the Institution. Prof. M.P.Yanagimath welcomed the function and Prof. S.S.Patil gave vote of thanks.

Alumni Meet “Sammilana” has been organized successfully in HIT Campus during Silver Jubilee function of SJPN Trust on 18th March 2015. Total 71 Alumni of HIT attended the meet.

A two day Workshop was organized on 7th and 8th March 2015 named “Android Software Development” for pre-final & final year students. In this workshop, a total of 39 students were participated. Mr. Amit Jagadale, Alumnus 2013 passed out, Mr. Mallikarjun Hosakoti Alumnus 2013 passed out & Mr. Bahubali Inchalkatti of InsproIT Pvt. Ltd. Pune, were the resource persons. They covered topic how to develop the simple Andriod Applications.

Mr. Sachin V Prabhu Alumnus 2000 passed out & Project Manager, Wipro Pvt. Ltd. Bengaluru have interacted with the pre-final year & final year students & spoke about “Employability Issues in IT” on 26th March 2015. In his discussion around 70 students were participated

A One Day Workshop on “PLC” was conducted on 28th April 2015 by Alumni Association HIT, Department of EEE & Department of ECE for the final year students of EEE & ECE. Mr. Vilas Patil & Mr. Tushar Gawas, Alumni of EEE Dept, HIT were invited as resource persons for the workshop. 40 students attended the workshop. The workshop was divided into 4 sessions where in the first 2 sessions theoretical concepts of PLC have been delivered & the next 2 sessions were lab practices. The workshop was organized by Prof. O.B.Heddurshetti, Chief Alumni Coordinator HIT and Prof. P.M.Murari and Prof. N.M.Patel, Department Alumni Coordinators of EEE & ECE Dept. respectively.

A Seminar on “System Engineering” was conducted on 4th May 2015 by Alumni Association HIT, Department of ECE for the 8th & 6th sem students of ECE. Mr. Balasaheb Karadegouda, Alumni of ECE Dept, HIT were invited as resource persons for the seminar. A Seminar on “Real Time Embedded System & its Applications” was conducted on 6th August 2015 by Alumni Association HIT, Department of ECE & EEE for the7th sem students of ECE & EEE. Mr. Harish Wali, Alumni of ECE Dept HIT, 2009 Passed out were invited as resource persons for the seminar.
