The Macon County Tigers extended their winning streak to three games after edging the Gallatin Green Wave 55-52 at Gallatin on Fri., Dec. 2. It was a close scoring affair in Gallatin throughout most of the contest. Macon County went on top early in the contest with an 11-7 lead after one quarter. Gallatin answered with 20 points in the second. Macon County added 15 points, but entered halftime behind 27-26. In the third quarter, the Tigers were able to tie the game up by outscoring the Green Wave 10-9. Both teams cranked up the offense in the fourth quarter. Gallatin ended the game with a 16 point scor- ing effort, however the Tigers outpaced them by notching 19 points in the final quarter, claiming the 55-52 victory. Three Tigers finished in double digits on offense. Dallas Grace led the way with 17 points. Trey McPherson scored 12 and Tyler Manning added 11. Tyler Clark and Brantley Russell each added seven points and Andrew Kempf scored one point for the Tigers. The Tigers will play at home this Friday night against the Gordonsville Tigers.
