No wait, that’s the storyteller coming out in me. Actually, I was born way back in the 1950s in a small farming community of 325 people in Northern Utah. I met Assistant Managers, my beautiful bride Terry in July 1977 Kim and Terry Moss and we were married on November 3rd of that same year. Three children later in 1983 we fell in love with Montana and we moved our small family to Kalispell, in the northwest corner of that state, very near Glacier National Park. Today we have six children (our 28-year-old sweetheart left early and went back home to our Heavenly Father just this past year). We have 17 grandchildren. (Continued on Page 2.) New Additions to Our Fire Station Tour September 6th, some of our residents went on a tour of our Springwood Landing local fire station. We learned that Vancouver now has 10 fire (Continued) stations. The residents got to learn about a fire truck and all Family that is on one. The station that we toured had a team of three In Montana, you need to have three jobs at the that worked together on the fire truck. The station that the same time just to survive! Therefore, I have a residents toured was station #9 in the Cascade Park area varied background. We were in manufacturing of Vancouver. of automotive and sporting goods, wholesale, distribution and retail. I have worked in the telecommunications industry, resort sales, and I have been a licensed realtor in both Arizona and Montana. I am also an author and Amazon sends me a generous check every month from the sales of my book. Well, it’s not so much a generous check, it’s more like a stingy check. Sometimes we save them up for a year and then go out to dinner and a movie.

I love to watch movies and go out to great The fire truck at station #9 restaurants. Most people eat to live, I live to eat! I am also a bronze sculptor, I have been an active drummer since 1966, I am a narrator and do voice-overs. I really enjoy telling stories. In Montana, I founded “Flathead Storytellers” (and other big liars). We moved into Springwood Landing on Labor Day 2019 and we absolutely love the people here. Everyone is so friendly and fun. We look forward to getting to know everyone and hear their fascinating stories. Be patient with me and please forgive me when I make mistakes. Thanks for your loving welcome and just keep being you. Residents learning about the fire truck A word from Terry Moss: Hi, my name is Terry Moss. We are so excited to be with you serving as your new assistant managers. You have been so gracious and welcoming, we feel like you are family already. I was born and raised in Logan, Utah and attended Utah State University. I am the sixth of 10 children and we have six children of our own and 17 grandchildren. My passion is my art, it may be viewed on my website: www.terrycmoss.com. I enjoy gardening, reading, and all things creative. I hope we will become good friends. Learning about the fire truck Sternwheeler Trip On August 30th, some of our residents went on an excursion to Cascade Locks, Oregon and rode on the Sternwheeler. After our trip on the Sternwheeler, we had lunch together at the Locks Grill. On the way home our bus driver Allen took a little detour past the Skamania Lodge. A wonderful time was had by all that attended. Residents on the bus to the Sternwheeler

Seaside Trip On August 23, 2019, some of the residents went on an outing to Seaside, Oregon. We stopped at Camp 18 on the way to have breakfast and enjoy each other’s company. Camp 18 has the biggest and best cinnamon rolls around. We all enjoyed learning a little of the history of Camp 18 and checking out the building. After leaving Camp 18 we were on our way to Seaside. In Seaside, we dropped the residents off to enjoy the town for a couple of hours. To complete our driving loop we came home through Astoria, where we stopped to have lunch.
