BIOGRAPHIES ANNE HECHE (Nell) was born in Ohio; her first professional acting job was in the soap Another World, for which she won a Daytime Emmy Award. Her television film debut was opposite Jessica Lange in Hallmark Hall of Fame’s acclaimed O Pioneers! Subsequent films for television include Against the Wall, Kingfish: A Story of Huey P. Long, Hallmark Hall of Fame’s Silver Bells, and Gracie’s Choice, for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. She made her feature debut in The Adventures of Huck Finn (opposite Elijah Wood). Subsequent features include The Juror (Demi Moore), Walking and Talking (Catherine Keener), Donnie Brasco (Johnny Depp), Wag the Dog (Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman), Six Days Seven Nights (Harrison Ford), Bowfinger (Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy), Cedar Rapids (Ed Helms, John C. Reilly) and Rampart (Woody Harrelson, Ice Cube). Series for television include Ally McBeal, Everwood, Nip/Tuck, Men in Trees, Hung and The Michael J. Fox Show. Anne Heche starred on Broadway in Proof and received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in Twentieth Century, opposite Alec Baldwin. # # # KEVIN DANIELS (Reggie) is a graduate of New York’s Juilliard School. The San Diego native is “Hank” in USA Network’s comedy series Sirens. Earlier series credits include Justified, Modern Family, House, Chuck and Castle, as well as the television movie Their Eyes Were Watching God. Feature film credits include Kate & Leopold, Ladder 49, And Then Came Love and The Island. He played the title role of Earvin “Magic” Johnson in Magic/Bird on Broadway. PREMIERES SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2014 ON HALLMARK CHANNEL 2 CARLOS GOMEZ (Cesar) was born in New York; his first film job was in Dance to Win. Subsequent films include Fools Rush In (playing Salma Hayek’s boyfriend), Enemy of the State and House of Sand and Fog. His many TV series credits include ER, Friends, NYPD Blue, NCIS, Sleeper Cell, Weeds, Shark and The Glades. Carlos Gomez starred on Broadway in the Tony Award‐winning musical In the Heights. # # # GRIFFIN KANE (Alden) got his big break when Steven Soderbergh came to Chicago to cast Contagion (2011). At the age of seven, Griffin played Clark Morrow, son of Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow’s characters. He was subsequently cast in the pilot episode of Sam & Cat (2013), which became Nickelodeon’s highest‐rated series; he has continued as a recurring guest star. He appeared recently in USA Network’s comedy series Sirens, alongside One Christmas Eve co‐star Kevin Daniels. # # # ALI SKOVBYE (Emma) was born in Vancouver, B.C. At age five she had a supporting role in Personal Effects, opposite Kathy Bates, Michelle Pfeiffer and Ashton Kutcher. Her television series credits include Smallville, Once Upon A Time and Falling Skies. She enjoys singing, dancing and playing the guitar; her favorite sport is volleyball. # # # BRIAN TEE (Dr. Chen) was born in Okinawa, of Japanese and Korean descent; he is fluent in both those languages. When he was two, his family moved to California. He is a graduate of UC Berkeley, with a degree in theater. Tee is best known for his work in the hit feature The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. His many other feature credits include We Were Soldiers and The Wolverine. He has appeared in a host of TV series, including Monk, Without a Trace, Entourage, Burn Notice and Hawaii Five‐O. # # # JAY RUSSELL (Director) is a native of Arkansas who studied under famed director Milos Forman while a graduate student in film at Columbia University. His first feature was End of the Line. In the mid‐1990s he produced several documentary series and specials for NBC, CBS, The Learning Channel, Discovery Channel and PBS. His 2000 box office hit My Dog Skip (Kevin Bacon, Frankie Muniz) was followed by Tuck Everlasting (Ben Kingsley, William Hurt, Sissy Spacek, Alexis Bledel), Ladder 49 (John Travolta, Joaquin Phoenix and One Christmas Eve’s Kevin Daniels) and The Water Horse. 3 # # # HOLLY GOLDBERG SLOAN (Written by) spent a peripatetic childhood (following her professor father and architect mother), living in California, The Netherlands, Istanbul (Turkey), Washington D.C. and Oregon. At age 24 she sold her first screenplay, to Paramount Pictures. Then, for 10 years, she supported herself by working in commercial advertising. She has written eight successful family features, including the baseball classic Angels in the Outfield, and the soccer movie The Big Green, which she also directed. She wrote Made in America (Whoopi Goldberg, Ted Danson, Will Smith) and Collision Course: The Crocodile Hunter Movie; she wrote and directed the children’s film Heidi 4 Paws. Her book author credits include Counting by 7s, Just Call My Name and I’ll Be There. # # # DAVID A. ROSEMONT (Produced by) served as producer for five previous Hallmark Hall of Fame movies, including November Christmas (2010), Firelight (2012) and In My Dreams (2014). Recent credits include the television films Steel Magnolias, Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story and The Gabby Douglas Story. Rosemont has won Peabody, Christopher and Emmy awards – the latter for the critically‐acclaimed Door to Door. His miniseries Into the West (executive produced by Steven Spielberg) was nominated for 16 Emmy Awards; his Pillars of the Earth and Bonnie and Clyde were also Emmy‐nominated. # # # PAULA MAZUR (Co‐Executive Producer) has taken several plays from stage to screen, including Swimming to Cambodia, The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe and The Vagina Monologues. She produced Corinna, Corrina (Whoopi Goldberg) and Nim’s Island (Jodie Foster, Gerard Butler, Abigail Breslin). Also a screenwriter, she co‐wrote Nim’s Island and adapted Tangerine for HBO. # # # MITCHELL KAPLAN (Co‐Executive Producer) has been in the book business for nearly 30 years as owner of Books & Books independent bookstores. He also hosts more than 1,000 authors a year through Books & Books and The Miami Book Fair International, which he co‐founded. 4 # # # BRENT SHIELDS (Executive Producer) leads the creative process for the Hallmark Hall of Fame, spearheading development, production and post‐production. In his role as producer of more than 60 films, Shields has successfully brought to television such classic works as William Faulkner’s Old Man, Thomas Hardy’s The Return of the Native, Oscar Wilde’s The Canterville Ghost, as well as contemporary works by such acclaimed writers as August Wilson, John Grisham, Pat Conroy and Anne Tyler.
