Bosque Arts Center Recently the Board of Directors grappled with the realities of Bosque Arts Center Board of Directors the budget for the Bosque Arts Center. Kathy Tate of Stephenville, TX, walked away with the John Steven Jones Purchase Award on opening night of the 33rd Annual Bosque Art Classic on September 8, 2018. Tate also took home the Silver Medal for Oil/Acrylic, winning both awards for her oil Once Someone’s Dream. Jeff Rechin of Amissville,VA, won the Art Patrons Purchase Award and Gold Medal Sculpture for his sculpture Spring. The Boren- Selvidge Award went to Sarah Webber of Jackson, WY, for her piece, An Old Friend, while Brenda Driggers of Cleburne gar- nered the New Entrant Award for Anni, a watercolor. The national art show and sale—sponsored by the BAC Art Council and judged this year by Cowboy Artists of America member Jason Rich—drew a crowd of around 300 artists and art-lovers to the Bosque Arts Center. The exhibit remained open to the public through September 22, displaying 174 pieces of outstanding art- work selected from the original 754 digital entries.
