ANAHEIM DUCKS PROSPECT REPORT DECEMBER 13, 2017 • With Andy Welinski’s NHL debut on Dec. 11 vs. Carolina, all seven players selected by Anaheim in the 2011 NHL Draft have played at NOTES: least one NHL game. This marks only the fourth time in NHL history (since the first NHL Draft in 1963) that a club has selected at least seven players in a single draft and seen each player appear in the NHL. The others are (by draft year) the 2009 New York Islanders, 1979 Boston Bruins & 1979 Philadelphia Flyers (all of those clubs also had seven draft picks). • The seven Ducks selected in 2011 were: Rickard Rakell (first round, 30th), John Gibson (second round, 39th), William Karlsson (second round, 53rd), Joseph Cramarossa (third round, 65th), Andy Welinski (third round, 83rd), Max Friberg (fifth round, 143rd), Josh Manson (sixth round, 160th). The Gulls have dressed eight rookie skaters that have combined for 22-43=65 NOTES: points (22 goals are 35 percent of San Diego’s 62 goals this season). Only Rockford and Hartford have more combined rookie games played, but the Gulls play a 68-game schedule, while the rest of the league plays 76 games. • As of Dec. 9, 10 former Gulls players were on the Anaheim Ducks roster, the primary NHL affiliate of San Diego. The 10 players on Anaheim’s roster have appeared in a combined 458 games with the Ducks the past two seasons, with nine having made their NHL debut and seven recording their first NHL point since the beginning of the 2016-17 season. • Scott Sabourin earned an assist on Eric Fehr’s second goal to extend his point streak to a career high four games on Dec. 9 at Iowa (2-2=4), surpassing his previous high of three games set twice previously (last: Feb. 24-28 (0-3=3)). • Kalle Kossila scored the game-tying goal on Dec. 9 at Iowa, his fourth goal and 11th point (4-7=11) of the season. Kossila has 2-2=4 points in his last three games.
