Some important facts about Hyerath... 1. Why Tithi triyodashi is important to celebrate Hyerath; According to Bharav Yaag Granth Triyodashi is the deciding factor to solemnize the day of Hyreath. Triyodashi should be present at midnight. That is the reason our Hyreath festival is sometimes celebrated on Dwadashi and sometimes at Triyodashi. 2. Are Herath and Maha Shiv Ratri same festivals? No. Our Hyreath is Har-Ratri (Hura Ratri) celebrated on Triyodashi & MahaShivratri deciding factor is Chaturdashi that is the reason Maha shivratri is also called Shiv-Chaturdashi. Hyreath and Maha- Shivratri cannot be solemnized on the same day. Recent example is Year 2011, 1st march jantri Page already posted in the group. 3. All over the Hindu world Hindus celebrate MAHASHIVRATRI on Chaturdashi that falls on 24th Feb and they are fine with that. Why are few among us comparing Herath with MahaShivratri? Our Hyreath deciding factor is Triyodashi and Mahashivratri is based on Chatrudashi as per Dharam Sindu. This is the reason Triyodashi Festival cannot be celebrated on chaturdashi. 4. At what time Triyodashi starts on 23rd Feb? Triyodashi is starting at 09-19 PM on 23rd Feb which decides the Hyreath to be solemnized on 23rd Feb. 2017. 5. What is sparsh and what is its importance? As already mentioned above Triyodashi starts at 09-19 PM which indicated that Puja to be performed at Dwodashi having sparsh of triyodashi at midnight. 6. What is PRADOSH and what is said about its impact on 24th Feb? Does this imply that even during chaturdashi ? Pradosh kaal is of 05 types. -

Orissa Review September - 2009 The Concept of Mother Goddess in the Art and Literature of Orissa Jayanti Rath The concept of Mother Goddess probably accommodates the largest number of paradoxes. She is a virgin and yet she is also the mother, a mother goddess. She is the Saivite Parvati and also a Vaishnavi. She is the purest of the pure. She is blood-thirsty Kali and also the very embodiment of the merciful and beautiful Amba or Lalita. She is invincible; she is the slayer of demons. She is Durga, with many arms. She is Sakti, the divine principle. This multiplicity of paradoxes proves the continuous popularity of the Sakti cult in India over the centuries. The very word Sakti denotes power. She can be seen through the different phenomenan of life. Durga Saptasati says that everyone has inherent power called Sakti, which is a manifestation of Para Sakti, the supreme goddess. In the Sakta scheme of cosmogonical evolution, the unmanifested prakarti alone existed before creation. She wished to create, and having assumed the form of the great mother, created Brahma, Vishnu and Siva. He was a healer of the body and the soul. This truth is reflected in the Ashram which he has established in Rishikesh. The huge hospital equipped with modern instruments was set up and the entire Ashram where all are welcome to get themselves healed of their heart’s sores and thoroughly refresh themselves in the divine atmosphere of the holy place. Sri Swamiji wanted that all systems of healing should flourish. He had equal love and admiration for all systems of healing. He wanted that the best of all the systems should be brought out and utilised in the service of Man. -

OM NAMO BHAGAVATE PANDURANGAYA BALAJI VANI Volume 11, Issue 10 October, 2017 HARI OM In Month of September Navaraatri Durga Puja was carried out with great devotion in the Balaji Matha Temple at San Jose, headed by Peethadhipati Swami Narayananda. All of these nine days Sri Sri Chandi Parayan and Chandi Hom (fire ritual) was conducted in the temple premises by Swami Narayananda. Devotees were graced with Darshan of Maa Durga, Maha-Lakshmi and Devi Kanyaka Parameshwari in different attires. Sometimes she was Shakambhari Devi, appeasing the hunger of this Universe. Regally outfitted as Sri Sri Parambhattarika Lalita-Tripura-Sundari, Mother blessed Her devotees with Bhukti (satisfaction) and Mukti (salvation). Maa Siddhidaatri was venerated with Phoolangi seva (decoration of flowers) gracing the devotees with blissful happiness. Every evening prayers were conducted by Swamiji, with devotees chanting Mother's glory. This was accompanied by Kumari Ka - Puja (prayers to the living Goddess in the female child). Then the devotees enjoyed the performances of various local talents, of all age groups, and ended each festival day with preetibhoj. Swami Nityananda assisted in all the Poojas & Alankar. On September 30th, Vijaya Dashami, the concluding day of the puja, Swami Sri Durga Devi Pullangi Seva at Balaji Temple. Narayananda led the devotees into praying to the Mother Goddess as Maha- Kaali (Power of Universal Knowledge Tatvagnan-Shakti), Maha-Lakshmi (Power of Soul : Sadatmak-Shakti) and Maha-Saraswati (Power of Mind : SARVADĀ STHĀPANAṂ BUDDHEḤ ŚUDDHE BRAHMAṆI SARVADĀ | Chit-Shakti), seeking Her everlasting love and blessings.
