In Brazil, YFV is maintained by a sylvatic transmission cycle involving non‑human primates (NHP) and forest canopy‑dwelling mosquitoes, mainly Haemagogus‑spp and Sabethes-spp. Beginning in 2016, Brazil faced one of the largest Yellow Fever (YF) outbreaks in recent decades, mainly in the southeastern region. In São Paulo city, YFV was detected in October 2017 in Aloutta monkeys in an Atlantic Forest area. From 542 NHP, a total of 162 NHP were YFV positive by RT-qPCR and/or immunohistochemistry, being 22 Callithrix-spp. most from urban areas. Entomological collections executed did not detect the presence of strictly sylvatic mosquitoes. Three mosquito pools were positive for YFV, 2 Haemagogus leucocelaenus, and 1 Aedes scapularis. In summary, YFV in the São Paulo urban area was detected mainly in resident marmosets, and synanthropic mosquitoes were likely involved in viral transmission. Yellow Fever virus (YFV) is an arbovirus member of the Flavivirus genus, family Flaviviridae and the causative agent of yellow fever (YF)1.

Em uma cidade acolhedora para crianças não é preciso esperar mais de um ano para se conseguir uma vaga na creche ou na pré-escola. Não há diferença entre mães negras e mães brancas, não há crianças invisíveis – aquelas que vivem longe da família por diferentes motivos e sobre as quais há poucos dados, quase nenhuma resposta e uma assistência social fragilizada. Essas e outras questões motivaram a construção deste primeiro Mapa da Desigualdade de São Paulo com foco na Primeira Infância (0 a 6 anos). O trabalho trouxe à luz alguns dados que mostram uma realidade ainda bastante vulnerável para as crianças que vivem na capital paulista, assim como para seus pais, mães e cuidadores que não dispõem da infraestrutura e dos recursos necessários para oferecer uma vida melhor aos pequenos.

[email protected] Lincoln Institute Product Code:WP11PS1 Abstract The 2002 Strategic Master Plan for the City of São Paulo and the Land Use Law 13,885 of 2004, both based on the federal Urban Development Act approved in 2001, introduced the mechanism of development concessions for additional building rights across the entire municipal area, with the exception of areas designed for Joint Urban Operations. Basic and maximum coefficients of land usea were established with development concessions being charged to those wanting to build beyond the basic to the maximum coefficient. This new legislation established residential and non-residential building rights reserves in each District of the city, stipulating the maximum supply of building area. Among the main effects of these measures, the following stand out: collection of financial compensation from development concessions has been increasing since 2005, with about $420 million Reais collected as of November 2009. In some Districts the establishment of a basic FAR that was lower than the previous coefficient apparently did not reduce the cost of the affected land.
