155 EXCURSION TO HAMPSTEAD, JUNE 22ND, 1874. Director : CALEB EVANS, ESQ., F.G.S. (Report by Mr. Evans.) The party assembled about half-past six at the flag-staff near Jack Straw's Castle, at which spot the Director explained, by means of diagrams, the geology of the district within view. The greater portion of the district is occupied by the London Clay, which at Hampstead, Higbgate, and Harrow passes gradually into a sandy clay abounding with well preserved fossils, and then into the Lower Bagshot Sands, while at Mill Hill, Totteridge, Barnet, and Stanmore Heath the London Clay is capped by "Pebble gravel," traces of which are also seen on Hampstead Heath. From North End the position of the Glacial beds of Hendon and Fincbley were pointed out, and the two per,iods of denudation (the one pre- and the other post-Glacial) were explained. The party returning by the Vale of Health followed the junction of the Bagshot Sands and London Clay from that spot to the spring in Well Walk, and concluded the evening by inspecting Mr. C. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Rural Housing Enabler (RHE) undertook a parish wide survey to ascertain if there are shortfalls in affordable housing provision within the parish of Badgers Mount. This report provides overall information as well as analysis of housing need. A survey was posted to every household within the parish in September 2020. 257 Surveys were distributed with 46 surveys being returned, representing a 18% response rate. Analysis of the returned survey forms identified that 100% of respondents are owner occupiers. 64% of respondents have lived in the parish for over 10 years. At the time of writing the report the cheapest property for sale in the parish was a 2-bed terraced house for £379,000; to afford to buy this home a deposit of approximately £56,850 would be required and an income of £75,800. -

Crime figures for the year: 35 Burglaries, 53 Criminal Damage, 13 Shop lifting, 26 Theft from motor vehicle, 20 theft of Motor vehicle and 1 Bike theft. The villages continue however to be considered as low crime areas. Darent River Preservation Society Malcolm Dunn was unable to attend but copies of his report was available for members and public to take away. District Councillor Philip McGarvey: presented his report which is attached County Councillor Roger Gough: presented his report which is attached A member of the public highlighted pot holes outside Dartford Girls Grammar. Cllr Gough said he would report this to the Highways team. A member of the public asked about the drainage and surface issue with Franks Lane which Cllr Gough will raise with Highways although extensive patching had been undertaken in recent years. -

Transport & Planning To: Badgers Mount Parish Council From: Sandra Holmes / Sarah Simpson Date: 11 October 2019 Copy: O'Neill Homer Our reference: PB9290-RHD-ZZ-XX-NT-Z-0001 Classification: Project related Subject: Transport Advice for Badgers Mount, Kent 1 Introduction 1.1.1 Royal HaskoningDHV has been appointed by Badgers Mount Parish Council to provide transport advice in support of the development of the Badgers Mount Neighbourhood Plan. 1.1.2 Consideration has been given to four Local Plan proposed submission sites, two of which are within the Badgers Mount Parish boundary, and the potential impact of the trips generated at these sites on the local highway network. 1.1.3 This report seeks to provide high level advice on: defining the dominant characteristics of the local transport network; calculating current loading and maximum theoretical capacities of road; defining and evaluating the levels of airborne noise and pollution; evaluating how noise and pollution relate to traffic densities; and identifying the impact that these proposed sites would foreseeably have on the local highway network. 1.1.4 To this end, this report comprises of the following: Section 2 provides the background and location of Badgers Mount and proposed sites for submission into the local plan within the local highway network, the location of proposed sites for submission into the historical transportation concerns in Badgers Mount and identifies the key characteristics of the surrounding highway and rail network, identifies -

THE SKINNERS’ SCHOOL, TUNBRIDGE WELLS ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE ADMISSION OF PUPILS TO THE SCHOOL FROM SEPTEMBER 2021 A. General The School intends to offer 160 places each year for boys aged 11. This is the Pupil Admission Number (PAN). Boys will normally be admitted at age 11, and also to the Sixth Form. Selection is through Kent County Council’s Procedure for Entrance to Secondary Education (PESE), the “Kent Test”. All pupils must be boys assessed suitable for grammar school through the Kent PESE (11+). Due to the Covid- 19 pandemic, the following amendments have been implemented by Kent County Council to the test arrangements: 1. To change the date that pupils attending Kent schools will be tested from 10 September 2020 to 15 October 2020. 2. To change the date that pupils attending non-Kent schools will be tested from 12 September 2020 to dates from 17 October 2020. 3. To change the date that pupils will be provided results from 15 October 2020 to “by 26 November 2020”, acknowledging that this may be subject to change if subsequent Covid-19 related issues arise. In the event of a further lockdown preventing the test taking place on this date we will post the revised test date on the school’s website as soon as it is known. For boys aged 12 or more seeking a place through casual entrance procedures, evidence obtained in examination of ability to keep pace with the work of the School will justify consideration for admission. Such pupils will only be admitted when the number of pupils in the relevant year group falls below the PAN.
