Dear Shaun Take notice that Tony Callaghan, Foyle Area Commander is objecting to the grant of an Amusement Permit to Rory McVeigh, 3 Talbot Park, Derry following his recent application. Grounds: The owner of the premises as listed in the application, Mr James McVeigh (father of the applicant), also of 3 Talbot Park, Derry, has a recent conviction for Criminal Damage to a neighbouring property, namely North West Regional College. The extent of the damage was estimated to be approximately £95,000, resulting in James McVeigh serving a six month custodial sentence. Police would have concerns that James McVeigh would have a very prominent role in the management and control of this business and is utilising the applicant merely as a front as it would be unlikely that he would be issued with an Amusement Permit given his criminal convictions. Furthermore, Police would also be concerned that the business may not be conducted in a peaceable and orderly manner, given the nature of the facts surrounding the circumstances of the Criminal Damage.

Kind regards
