Mustangthe ART of THE
MustangTHE ART OF THE PHOTOGRAPHY BY TOM LOESER TEXT BY DONALD FARR ACKNOWLEDGMENTS I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE MANY PEOPLE who helped make this book so much better than I could have CONTENTS ever imagined. First of all, many thanks to my friend and mentor Randy Leffingwell for teaching me such a fantastic “light painting” photo technique. Long-time Shelby and Mustang owner/enthusiast J. Bittle, owner of JBA Speed Shop in San Diego, was an invaluable resource, helping me find many of the Mustangs for this book. Jay and his crew—Carl Bernstein, Austin Bittle, Stewart Bittle, Roger Cox, Mike Evans, Sean Kaschmitter, and Kurtis Stockton— also assisted on many late night photo shoots by positioning cars, wiping off dew, and even finding parts for some of the cars. Thanks as well Rocky Frost from Custom Auto Body, and to the LA Shelby Club for getting the word out that I was looking for Mustangs. I am also indebted to Bartwood Construction and Aeroplex/Aerolease Group for finding some great photo shoot locations. And of course, I couldn’t have done it without the cooperation of the owners of the beautiful Mustangs: Peter Arkin, Eric Benner, Carl Bernstein, Jay and Vicky Bittle, Marc Bodrie, Jordon Besenbruch, Aaron Cardoza, Vincent Castregon, Frank Chirat, Marshall Corrie, Adrian Garcia, Bob Gardner, John Gerardy, David “Pops” Griffin, Jon Hoxter, Dan Ingebretson, Bruce Kawaguchi, David Kelly, Danny Laulom, Shawn McClure, Jake Plumber, Bob and Brenda Radder, Ed Quinn, Loyd Swartz Racing, Paul Sequra, Dan Swana, Mark Tomei, and Ken Worsham. This book is dedicated to Susan Loeser, my extremely supportive wife and best friend. -

Mustang Memories Special Edition
THE ACCELERATOR Mustang Memories 2010 Special Edition Page 2 The Accelerator – Mustang Memories 2010 Special Edition Field of Dreams By Mike Rey, MOCSEM President Well it has come and gone, another year of planning our biggest event is now behind us. Mustang Memories 2010 is now in the books…the record books that is! To say we had a successful show is an understatement. We all dreamed big from the moment I submitted our formal request to have the Ford World Headquarters as our new home, to all the talks and cruises leading up to it, then landing the Mustang Dream Giveaway presentation, then to setup day when the buzz was in the air, then to show day! Sunday August 8th, 2010 will forever be the day that MOCSEM rocked the Ford World Headquarters for the 1st time, with many more to come in the future! We did it! We aimed high (very high) and we far exceeded our high expectations! We broke every record this club has ever seen for a car show and I am including the huge national record that stood for 7 years from 2003 when they had 527 cars! I was joking around with Phil Smith when leaving setup on Saturday when he was saying the number to beat to be # 1 was 527! I said while looking up at the cloudless sky, "no problem.” Cocky? Confident? Sure I was but I was also scared. We had pumped up our show so big this year, it was going take a lot to live up to it.
