I feel so fortunate to be here in Seattle’s McCaw Hall this evening and watch this gorgeous company of perform works by Alejandro Cerrudo and David Dawson, two of the world’s most magnificent contemporary choreographers working today. Last month we announced PNB’s 3-year commitment to Alejandro TRUSTEES Cerrudo as our Resident Choreographer. The news spread quickly throughout the dance world, and the congratulations to PNB quickly poured in. Mr. Cerrudo has already been in our studios working to bring OFFICERS One Thousand Pieces to life in Seattle. The ballet was originally created for Hubbard Street’s Chairman — Aya Hamilton 2 3 35th Anniversary Season in 2012. You are already familiar with his work through Memory Glow President — Joan Fitzmaurice (2014), Little mortal jump (2016), and Silent Ghost (2018)—fan favorites for sure.
