In a word, NO. We have had enough! Your motivations are transparent and of no use to Americans. Yes MSM can think of nothing but covid. Story after story after story after story. But they and you are ignoring the fact that deaths are down to their lowest levels in almost 18 months. Draconian lockdowns for a virus with a mortatlity rate of a bad flu has crippled our economy, abused our children and caused countless suicides. Now it's chattier but far less dangerous cousin has arrived and you want to take even more totalitarian action?! I don't recall the time machine that took us back to early Germany so no we have no interest in labeling citizens into groups. BTW how is it that those we've elected to sheppherd our common good have somehow missed that the "Vaccine" doesn't even appear to work? Statistically. In many places the vast majority of those hospitalized with covid have already been vaccinated. You can not possibly believe mandating injections that have not proven a health benefit is wise. As such your true intent much be much darker. And we've seen. You are meant to be representatives of the people. Not weaponizing against them. Not dividing. And not killing. Have any of you taken a look at the VAERS data? Passage of such a mandate will be a murder sentence for many. Are you prepared for that on your consciences? I feel such as a system is deeply, deeply unethical, not only because the vaccine itself does not prevent people from getting COVID (therefore undermining the whole argument for passports), or because it has had more adverse side effects than any other current vaccines, or that it should not be given to young people, who have little threat from COVID to begin with, but also because it opens the door to further forced medical procedures as well as other kinds of surveillance. I have never voted for a Republican in my lifetime but will be voting a straight Republican ticket and for anyone other than Governor Newsom if this goes through. I am a high-earning professional with multiple degrees-- the kind of person you want living and paying taxes in LA County-- but I will start planning to leave California if this goes through. Second, the CDC published in both September and then a few months ago updated numbers showing that only thirty thousand or so Americans have actually died from covid-19 to date. Third, the inventor of the PCR test openly stated it does not work, and now the CDC has admitted this, too. The flu, pneumonia, heart attack, diabetes, and even motorcycle accidents seem to have been cured by covid19, as 2020 deaths by all causes is almost identical to the number for each of the previous 4 years. Fourth, the experimental injection being called a vaccine does not meet the basic definition of a vaccine, and is in fact a gene modification therapy. Fifth, this therapy has been killing thousands of people and permanently disabling tens of thousands more since its distribution, according to the VAERS data. Sixth, no vaccine or therapy can legally be granted emergency use authorization if other treatments exist. Thousands of. board-certified medical doctors have shown Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin to be effective in treating covid19. Seventh, it is unlawful for any government entity to mandate a bodily injection. Eighth, the Constitution of the United States of America is not suspended in any crisis. Ninth, any public servant who mandates an experimental injection is breaking the law and in so doing has violated his or her Oath of Office, for which their pension can be revoked and they themselves removed from ever holding public office again. Every single one of these facts is backable by hard evidence furnishable upon request, and the City Council will be held to account for any violation of their legally-binding Oath of Office. I voted to end the longest government shut down in history, was on the floor during impeachment, read the Mueller Report, governed during the COVID-19 pandemic, officiated a same-sex wedding (first sitting GOP congressman to do so) and eventually became the only Republican Congressman to speak out on the floor against the encroaching and insidious digital virus of conspiracy theories related to QAnon. Certainly, I can list the various theories that nest under the QAnon banner. Democrats participate in a deep state cabal as Satan worshiping pedophiles and harvesting adrenochrome from children. Abstract In the 1990s and early 2000s, there was much discussion about the democratic and anti-democratic implications of the internet, the latter particularly focused on the far-right using it to spread hate and recruit. Despite this, the American far-right did not harness it quickly, effectively or widely. More recently though, they have experienced a resurgence and mainstreaming, benefitting greatly from social media. This chapter will examine the history of the American far-right’s use of the internet in light of this, in respect to: 1. How this history developed in response to political changes and emerging technologies; 2. How it reflected and changed the status of such movements and their brand of hate; and 3. The relationship between online activity and traditional forms and methods of communication. Introduction In the late 1990s and early 2000s there was much discussion of both the democratizing and anti-democratic implications of the internet, in the absence of clear controls or regulations and boundaries. In relation to the former thesis were progressive social movements, and in the latter, the far-right using the internet to spread their racist hate, network and recruit both domestically and globally (Back, Keith and Solomos 1998, 73; Daniels 2009, 39-40; Neiwert 2017, 215-216).
