Mind-boggling. Oh my God,” frequent Stern Show caller Bobo says after hearing the reveal. “Howard Stern Comes Again” hits shelves on May 14 which means the world is just days away from learning the closely-guarded secret Howard has been teasing since the book was announced. In honor of the book’s impending arrival, Stern Show staffer Shuli Egar recently pranked several Wack Packers by pretending to give them early access to Howard’s big reveal. In a call to Tan Mom, Shuli convinced her Howard once took his kids to a tanning salon. Tan Mom, quick to point out she never actually did that with her own children, was floored by the news. “That’s pretty crazy. I’m kind of shocked,” she said. “I can’t see Howard doing that … nobody should put their kids in a tanning bed.” Bobo, meanwhile, a well-known toupee wearer, was led to believe the King of All Media utilized a similar “hair system” on his own head. “No fucking way! No fucking way!” Bobo told Shuli. “This is earth-shattering. Mind-boggling. Oh my God.” Despite promising to stay mum until the book’s release, Bobo apparently couldn’t contain himself. The longtime caller reportedly dialed up his friend Mariann from Brooklyn almost immediately to share the news, whereas Shuli said Tan Mom waited a full seven days before discussing Howard’s secret with her frequent collaborator Adam Barta. Two Wack Packers who didn’t gab after Shuli told them similar fake secrets were Jeff the Vomit Guy and Bigfoot. “In Howard’s book he’s going to reveal he’s also a vomit lover,” Shuli told the emetophiliac member of the Wack Pack. Jeff ate the story up, saying he kind of suspected Howard shared his fetish since he had been nice to him whenever he visited the Stern Show studio. When Shuli called up Bigfoot, things went a little differently. He told the Wack Packer about a secret fictitious affair between Howard and his mailman—one that resembled a story from Bigfoot’s own past. Bigfoot believed Shuli but didn’t offer up much by way of a reaction. “What do you think about that?” Shuli asked him. Howard Tells the World About His New Book Live on the Stern Show. For the first time in over 20 years, Howard Stern has a book hitting store shelves. The King of All Media made the announcement live on the Stern Show, telling the world his new book “Howard Stern Comes Again” will be available everywhere starting May 14. “For the last two years of my life, I’ve been involved in this project,” Howard told his listeners. His latest book boasts 560 pages and highlights both his growth over the years and the multitude of groundbreaking celebrity interviews he’s conducted in the Stern Show studio. It also touches upon his move to SiriusXM, among other things, and promises to reveal a closely-guarded secret he’s been keeping for quite some time. “You can preorder right now, and then you’d have the perfect Father’s Day gift,” Howard said on the air, adding he’s already received emails from publishers saying it’s climbing its way up the bestsellers charts. “I predict the wives will like this book because this is about my evolution, and this is about my interviews,” Howard continued. While the book is now complete, Howard told his longtime co-host Robin Quivers and the rest of the staff gathered around for the big announcement that he’s still finalizing some key details of his upcoming promotional tour. He revealed he’ll likely be visiting several talk shows and sitting down for multiple interviews in the coming weeks so that he can reach as wide an audience as possible and explain to them how this will be a different kind of book than the ones he’s put out in the past. Several staffers even pitched a few outside-the-box marketing ideas, including celebrity-voiced audiobooks or a controversial Times Square billboard – a concept Howard quickly shot down.
