DSWD DROMIC Report #1 on the Effects of the Tail End of Cold Front in Region VIII as of 15 January 2018, 5:00PM

SUMMARY

The tail-end of the cold front brought upon moderate to heavy rains in the causing flooding to some parts of the region.

1. Number of Affected Families / Persons To date, 3,237 families or 13,418 persons have been affected in 21 barangays in Region VIII (see Table 1).

2. Status of Displaced Families/Persons At present, 1,649 families or 6,856 persons are staying inside 13 Evacuation Centers (see Table 2).

SITUATIONAL REPORTS

DSWD-DReAMB DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN ● The Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center 15 January 2018 (DROMIC) of the DSWD-DReAMB is continuously coordinating with DSWD-FO VIII for significant reports on assistance and relief efforts.

DSWD-FO VIII DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN ● SWAD Teams are in close coordination with P/C/MSWDOs and/or P/C/MRRDMOs for any updates on the ground. ● All QRT members are likewise alerted and ready to render 24/7 duty. ● DROMIC Focal Person is closely monitoring weather condition, attended 15 January 2018 preparedness meeting at the OCD and in close coordination with PDOs and SWADTs for any incident reports. ● Staff manning the warehouse are also alerted to ensure the readiness of dispatching the Food and Non-Food commodities whenever needed.
