MOTION FOR ELECTION TO THE CENTRAL SUPERVISORY BOARD CONSTITUTED UNDER SECTION 7(1) OF THE PRE-CONCEPTION AND PRE-NATAL DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUES (PROHIBITION OF SEX SELECTION) ACT, 1994

SHRI GHULAM NABI AZAD to move the following Motion:— “That in pursuance of clause (f) of sub-section (2) of Section 7 read with clause (a) sub-section (1) of Section 8 of the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994, this House do proceed to elect, in such manner as the Chairman may direct, one woman Member from amongst the Members of the House to be a member of the Central Supervisory Board subject to the provision of Section 15 of the Act, which stipulates, inter alia, that no member other than an ex-officio member shall be appointed for more than two consecutive terms.” ————

2. FURTHER CONSIDERATION of the following motion moved by The Architects Shri Kapil Sibal on the 14th December, 2011:–– (Amendment) Bill, 2010. “That the Bill further to amend the Architects Act, 1972, be taken into consideration.”
