PAUL MILLSAP NAMED TO FOURTH CONSECUTIVE EASTERN CONFERENCE ALL-STAR TEAM Millsap Becomes just the 5 th Player in Franchise History to Receive All-Star Honors in Four Straight Seasons

ATLANTA, GA – Paul Millsap has been selected by the Eastern Conference coaches to his fourth consecutive All-Star team, and he will compete in the 2017 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 19 in his home state at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, LA. The game will air on TNT and ESPN Radio.

Without their support, I know I wouldn’t have this opportunity,” Millsap said. “I also want to thank the Eastern Conference coaches for appreciating my game and recognizing our team’s success. It’s humbling to be honored again.”

This marks Millsap’s fourth consecutive All-Star appearance, and he joins , , Lou Hudson and Joe Johnson as the only players in franchise history to earn All-Star honors in four straight seasons.

Millsap is averaging 18.0 points, 8.1 rebounds (tied for 24th in the NBA), 3.8 assists, 1.5 steals (22 nd ) and 1.1 blocks in 34.0 minutes with 12 double-doubles, leading the team in scoring, while ranking second in rebounding, assists, steals, blocks and double-doubles. He is one of four players in the NBA (Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, DeMarcus Cousins) averaging at least 18.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks.

On Dec. 9 at Milwaukee, he posted 23 points, a season-high tying 14 rebounds, six assists, a season-best tying three blocks and one , the only player in the NBA to accumulate at least those numbers in a game this year. He had 18 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocks at Indiana (Nov. 23), one-of-two players (Anthony Davis) to record at least that line this season and the first Hawk to do so since Josh Smith on 2/15/12 (at Phoenix).

Since signing with the Hawks on July 10, 2013, he has averaged 17.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.2 blocks (.465 FG%, .342 3FG%, .749 FT%).
