45TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE It is bittersweet that this is my last newsletter. My term as ACCESS WEEK: SAVE THE DATE! Regional Delegate has come to an end. This was my first time on an association board and it has been so rewarding. I have made NEW MEMBERS connections with colleagues across the country and grown as a leader. I encourage all of you to look for ways to get involved; NAHAM NEWS BLOG you will get so much back. Joining a committee is a great first step. CERTIFICATION RENEWAL The thing I most enjoy about representing NAHAM is feeling the passion that each one of you have. I believe patient access is NAHAM ACCESS FORUM unique in that most enjoy their work and feel connected to our purpose. In a recent book I highlighted the line “the test of a CAREER CENTER vocation is the love of the drudgery it involves.” I love every part of patient access and of leadership and I hope you feel the same. Patient access week is upon us. Don’t just celebrate your teams. Focus on your colleagues and yourselves. You deserve it!

If you became CHAA or CHAM certified in 2017, your certification will expire in 2019. It’s easy to record your contact hours through Certification Central. Add your contact hours directly to your recertification application through the Certification Central dashboard now, to get prepared for your renewal. Not sure what you can report or how many contact hours your professional development activities are worth? Please refer to the NAHAM Contact Hour Guide for guidance.
