CHAIRMAN’S DESK

It is an honour and privilege for me to take over as Chairman, Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), the apex body of Public Sector Enterprises. I seek your support and guidance in carrying forward the excellent work done by my predecessors for the betterment of Public Sector and nation as a whole. SCOPE has come a long way since its inception and has evolved itself as a proactive body to meet the aspirations and needs of its stakeholders in an ever-changing economic environment. With our determined and concerted efforts, we would further leverage the strength of SCOPE to achieve new benchmarks of performance. SCOPE Executive Board in its recent meetings held deliberations for bringing more visibility to SCOPE and Public Sector. Board Level Committees on image building, policy advisory, HR, finance, and financially stressed PSEs have been constituted. Regional chapters of SCOPE are being activated in order to have a wider reach. Programmes are also being organized on relevant issues to help senior and middle level executives of the PSEs in enhancing their business and technical expertise. In today’s era, Digital Communication plays a significant role in establishing the brand image of the business corporate. Our country is poised to transform itself into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. In line with the country’s aspirations, SCOPE organized a two-day seminar on ‘Corporate Communication in Digital Age – Challenges and Opportunities’. The seminar
