Breaking Fasting Due to Pregnancy

Question: I read in a contemporary book of Fiqh (jurisprudence) that if the Seeking Forgiveness: pregnant woman breaks her fasting during Ramadan, according to the sounder opinion, she will be required only to make expiation. Hence, my wife would break fasting when she was pregnant and expiate only. This was repeated for many years. Recently, however, I came to know that this opinion is weak and that the sound opinion is that she is required to make up for the days of fasting that she missed. What should my wife do now? An immediate Tradition of the Prophets response would be highly appreciated. May Allah reward you! Answer: All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. MOI, DECC STATION, QATAR RAIL ILLUMINATED IN GREEN TO CELEBRATE QATAR FAMILY DAY

The Ministry of Interior, Qatar Rail, Qatar Olympic Committee, and DECC Station, among other state corporations, celebrated Family Day in Qatar, which takes place on April 15 each year, by lighting up their facades in green to stress the importance of the family and its role in community building. The idea of dedicating a family day in the State of Qatar arose from Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, a pioneering idea approved by the Council of Ministers in 2011.
