The project aiming at providing equal opportunity to protect and promote the human rights of people with disability ( PWD )and person affected with leprosy ( PAL ) having in mind their total integration to the main streams of the society. The project implement CBR [Type the document title] [Year] program net working with GO’S &NGO’S in various rehabilitation areas in it operation. The project have been Rehabilitated them in different aspects such as medical, Educational, Social, Lively hood and Empowerment aspects, individually as well as small groups. Project conducted seminars, workshops, health camps, nutrition camps, assessment camps, skin camps, Community meetings, and awareness programs for PAL, PWD, family and communities etc. Conduct training for the staffs, volunteers and self help group’s members to strengthen the group and to be united to fight for their rights. Conducted and mobilizing awareness program on right based approach and empower the communities. Build the capacity of the disabled people’s organization. And help the PWD to become an active member in the in the self help group and in the society. Vision &Mission Respect of human Rights of persons affected with leprosy and persons with disability. Recognizing the special value of all persons affected with leprosy and all persons with disability. Believing in the social justice, dignity and equality of all peoples Opposing any kind of discrimination, especially towards persons affected with leprosy and persons with disabilities promoting special attention towards the needs of more vulnerable children and women. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT To encourage stakeholders to facilitate the empowerment of people with disabilities and PAL and their families by promoting their inclusion and participation in development and decision-making processes. To strengthen the PWD and women SHG’S and get more schemes and benefits from the government. To rehabilitate and support for women with leprosy and severe and profound disabilities. Projects empower the women to motivate about disability and its prevention. And also their SHG have formed .project help the women and children to get their rights .project collaborate with other NGO and GOES. Follow up services, medical intervention, educational facilities and economic supports were provided for PWD, PAL, and their children. The project focused during the year 2017 trainings, workshops and seminars for PWD and their families. Workshops on self care for the PAL and school based programs etc are conducted.LCD programmes we attented with government workers ,group training and awareness, rally were conducted about leprosy, Antileprosy day celebration,womens group celebration and disabled day was celebrated to empower the women ,PAL &pwd.now the PWD DPOES are actively doing and helping the pwd to get benefit . PROGRAMME DETAILS HEALTH REHABILITAION With the support of Dr.Musthafa from D.L.O. offices consultant of Leprosy staffs , and Assisi staffs conducted school awareness programme in .P.H.C. wise Raichur urban schools visit and gave awareness about Leprosy , also same of the students examined by the staff. School staffs were co-operated with the Leprosy staff. Suspected cases referred to the PHC’S. The resulting of programme was voluntary cases and hidden cases are increased. [Type the document title] [Year] Training programme for ASha and Anganavadi workers Training programme organized by Raichur ADOR NGO, for Asha workers and Anganavady teachers, about leprosy. This training programme was an informative session on what exactly this dieses is how spread and , Cardinal signs of leprosy, Disability, Early detection and care of hand and feet, treatment and avoid stigma etc. since ashaworkers and anganawadi workers are rendering their services in different villages this training was mainly held . So that these workers go back their villages and give [Type the document title] [Year] awareness for the public and find out the cases and eradicate the leprosy. Srishakthi and SHG, Framers and Adolescent Group The staff is given awareness for the SHG, Srishakthi group and the children those who are 10 to 19 years old. The staff will make them in group and giving awareness to them. What is leprosy, cause of Leprosy, how to find out signs and systems of leprosy, about Treatment, early detection, Prevention of deformity, care hand and feet to avoid secondary deformity etc. [Type the document title] [Year] SKIN CAMP The Assisi staff conducted the skin camp in different villages to find out the persons affected with Leprosy. About 75 people attend for the camp with different skin disease. Leprosy consultant also joins with Assisi staff to conduct skin camps. Camp conducted in Dinni, Jilumegere, and Old Goniwar. [Type the document title] [Year] Self care of the pal Every Saturday the Assisi Ngo staff is visiting the Leprosy colony and doing the dressing and giving treatment. Also supporting them mentally and physically other supporting medicine also is giving, and admitting the Hospital and for ulcer complications and reaction and giving free treatment and food. [Type the document title] [Year] MCR CHAPPALS PROVIDED ……Pair of MCR chapel given to the Leprosy patients who developed anesthesia and ulcer. So they are roaming around and doing their daily work. Anti-Leprosy day celebration The staff along with Govt. staff, Doctors, Asha workers, Anganavady teachers, Health staff , Panchyaet members school teachers and students, Rally conducted in different,villagesand Programme conducted the villages such as Gunjalli, Ganadal, Giligewsure, Idepenure, Begingere, Manikanagar, Rampur, Hosur,Yeregera and Mattamari.All the staffs were co-operated with the Assisi staff. Awareness given through distributing hand bills about leprosy .And other advertisement also done. For the school students Biscuit and sweets provided. From Assisi staff sports meet conducted for the Leprosy patient and their children those who have no leprosy and distributed the prizes. Patients were very happy with prize and theprogramme. [Type the document title] [Year] Anti Leprosy day celebrated with the DLO and the staff at Leprosy colony. All the health staff, Asha and Anganavady staff, and Navodhya medical college students also were present. D L O and the staff provided bread and MCR chapels for the PAL. [Type the document title] [Year] SPORTS MEET Sports meet conducted in leprosy colony for the preparation Anti-Leprosy day celebration. Patients and family members were very happy. Different competitions were held with the view to tap the hidden talents of the patients and make them aware of their inner capacities and they feel the acceptance and interest took to by the project. Around the 300 houses are surveyed. New cease and voluntary cases detected and referred to concerned PHC. By doing the Healthy contact survey we detected new cases and given treatment. Community meeting on orientation of life style disease: 4 communities meeting held in Raichur taluks and 152 people participated in the meeting. The participants oriented about Leprosy, Aids, Nutrition and person affected with Disability.

    11.13 KARNATAKA 11.13.1 Introduction Karnataka, the seventh largest State of the country, with a geographical area of 1,91,791 sq km accounts for 5.83% of the geographical area of the country. The State is located in the south western region of India and lies between 11°30' N to 18°30' N latitudes and 74°00' E to 78°30' E longitudes and is bordered by Maharashtra and Goa in the North, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the east, Kerala & Tamil Nadu on the South and the Arabian Sea on the West. The State can be divided into two distinct physiographic regions viz the 'Malnad' or hilly region comprising Western Ghats and 'Maidan' or plain region comprising the inland plateau of varying heights. The average annual rainfall varies from 2,000 mm to 3,200 mm and the average annual temperature between 25°C and 35°C. The Western Ghats, which has an exceptionally high level of biological diversity and endemism, covers about 60% of forest area of the State. East flowing rivers in Karnataka mainly Cauvery & Krishna along with its tributaries drain into Bay of Bengal and west flowing rivers mainly Sharavathi & Kali drain into Arabian Sea. The State has 30 districts, amongst which 5 are tribal and 6 are hill districts. As per the 2011 census, Karnataka has a population of 61.13 million, which is 5.05% of India's population. The rural and urban populations constitute 61.43% and 38.57% respectively. Tribal population is 6.96% of the State's population.

Four taluks of district were selected. Thirty farmers from each selected taluka APMC markets were selected randomly, constituting 120 farmers for the study. The ‘Ex-post facto’ design was employed for the study. The K e yw or ds study revealed that more than half (52.50 %) of the respondents belonged to Extension activities, middle age followed by old age (27.50 %) and young age group (20.00 %). Farmers, Role Further, 41.67 per cent of farmers had high marketable surplus followed by 33.33 perception and 25.00 per cent of medium and low marketable surplus respectively. Similarly, 44.17 per cent had high marketed surplus followed by 28.33 and 27.50 per cent of Article Info medium and high marketed surplus. More than fifty per cent of the respondents Accepted: (53.33 %) had moderately perceived their roles about extension activities of 22 June 2020 APMC markets followed by 28.33 per cent had lower level and 18.33 per cent.
