Applications may be inspected free of charge at the Office of the Traffic Commissioner in Leeds by any person who carries written authorisation to act in that capacity. Ob jections against published applications may be made in writing by a Chief Officer of Police, a local authority, a planning authority or a prescribed trade union or association within 21 days of the date on which notice of an application is published in Applications and Decisions. Objections must be made either on the grounds that any of the requirements listed in Section 13 of the Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995 are not met and/or that a nominated operating centre will be unsuitable for use as such. A copy of the objection must be sent by the objector to the applicant at the same time that it is sent to the Traffic Commissioner. The onus of proof in terms of the grounds on which an objection is lodged lies with the objector. You may fax a copy of your objection to 0113 2488521 but please note that you must send the original signed document through the post. Classification of Operator Licences – There are three classes of licence: • A Restricted (R) licence authorises the use of a goods vehicle on public roads in Great Britain for the carriage of the licence holder’s own goods in the course of his trade or business. The licence holder cannot carry goods for other people for hire or reward; • A Standard National (SN) licence allows the licence holder to carry both his own goods and goods for other people for hire or reward, on public roads in Great Britain. He can also carry his own goods on journeys abroad; • A Standard International (SI) licence allows the licence holder to carry both his own goods and goods for other people for hire or reward. These activities can be undertaken both in Great Britain and on international journeys.     The double link charges of Crimond and Lonmay are located in the Buchan area of Aberdeenshire in the northeast of Scotland About Us Our last Minister tragically died ‘in post’. Since that time we have been subject to a number of changes with linked charges. Due to the tremendous dedication and hard work of our Kirk Session, Board and members, we have continued to maintain a Christian witness in this parish. During that time we have been assisted and supported by many individuals who have advised and encouraged us. In September 2011 a Locum was appointed. This has brought stability and consistency. We have been able to produce an Action Plan which has seen a number of developments within the life of the Church and we continue to work together as a team. We look forward to working with a Minister sharing together in the Lord’s service. The Manse is is kept to a high standard. The heating in the Manse has been upgraded to mains gas central heating. Crimond Parish Crimond is a rural parish with the village at its heart. The village enjoys many amenities including an excellent nursery/primary school which includes a variety of after school clubs.     FUNERAL OF THE REV. A. CHALMERS CREMATION INTERMENT AT FETTERANGUS In Fetterangus Churchyard yesterday the interment took place of the cremated remains of the Rev. Andrew Chalmers, Wakefield. Mr Chalmers, who was born at Hythie, Fetterangus, in 1840, had an outstanding career in the service of the Unitarian Church, in which he was recognised as a leader. Apart from his ministerial work, Mr Chalmers was also well known as an authoritative and facile writer on different subjects, notably travel. He was also gifted as a lyrist, and was the author of several fine hymns which are known and appreciated by a wide circle. A sad coincidence in connection with the funeral was that Mr Chalmers was buried on the anniversary of his seventy second birthday. In accordance with his own desire, his remains were cremated and enclosed in a marble casket, made in the Egyptian style, while also carrying out his own wish the casket was interred in Fetterangus Churchyard. The services were conducted by the Rev. Alexander Webster, Aberdeen, and the obsequies were attended by a large gathering of friends in the Buchan district. The first of the services was held in the Chalmers Institute, founded largely owing to the generosity of the deceased minister. The chief mourners were – Mr Thomas Marriot Chalmers, barrister, St Johns Mount, Wakefield (son); Mr and Mrs James Troup, Hythie, of whom Mr Chalmers was a nephew, and the Misses Minnie and Lizzie Gall (nieces), Representatives of the council of Buchan Club, of which Mr Chalmers was a past president, were Dr Trail, Fraserburgh; the Rev Dr Forest, Lonmay; Dr Middleton, Peterhead, the hon secretary; and Mr A Clark Martin, Peterhead, the hon treasurer.

It was, and still is, the only narrative ever written regarding the history and descent of those who bear this family name ; if exception be made of a Manuscript Collection of extracts, quota- tions, genealogies, and family letters and documents, which was submitted to the Heralds' College in Edinburgh in proving the descents of the family and of which Collection the History was a somewhat abbreviated form.
