From the North

M56 to A48 Chester and Wrexham to the roundabout junction with the A5 sign posted Llangollen, turn right at this roundabout before making a left turn at the next roundabout, approximately ¾ of a mile. Follow signposts for Chirk and the Ceiriog Valley. In Chirk turn right and follow the river on the B4500. Passing through the villages of Pontfadog, and Dolywern. Glyn Ceiriog is the last village that you will encounter.

From The South

Follow the M6 / M54, until you reach the A5 junction,Shrewsbury – Oswestry, after the Oswestry by-pass, take the roundabout junction B5070. Continue to look for Chirk, and the Ceiriog Valley, from here you will notice a sign directing you left along the B4500, this road takes you directly through the Ceiriog Valley. Travelling six Miles from Chirk to Glyn Ceiriog along the B4500, passing through the villages of Pontfadog, and Dolywern. Glyn Ceiriog is the last village that you will encounter.

Arrival at Glyn Ceiriog

Pass the Glyn Valley Hotel on the right side of the road. Continue for Llanarmon D.C. 250 Metres past the Glyn Valley hotel, fork right for Nantyr. Stay on this narrow wooded road for 1 ½ miles until you finally reach the top of the mountain, where you will notice a, T-junction (post box on the left), turn right here and remain on this road for some 400 metres. You will then reach a further T-junction where you must turn left, stay on this road for 300 metres; Pen y Fedw Cottage is the second on the right.
