The five alternatives policy priorities are: (1) involving the coastal society in the tourism sector, (2) making ecotourism based trade center, (3) optimizing the use of the land seashores into economy sectors, (4) establishing informal institutions related to coastal society, and (5) establishing the formal institutions related to coastal area. A region’s development planning should be carried out by referring to the strategic issues faced by the region. Thus, strategic issues become the basis upon which regional governments formulate their policies and work programs. This study examined how each region in Bangka Belitung Islands Province positioned strategic issues of ecology in its regional development planning. The current writers examined eight regional governments’ Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RMTDP) documents; one of which belongs to the provincial government, while the rest belongs to the regency/city governments. This study found that ecological issues comprised an average 17.6% of the strategic issues in all of the planning documents, the highest of which was found in Belitung Regency’s planning document. In addition, the analysis revealed that the general focus of the strategic ecological issues was environmental damage, which was reported by three of the regions as a result of mining activities. With it non- renewable characteristic, tin holds an important position and therefore it is contested for its high selling point. In fact, tin mining process brings serious problem since it is not directly designed with limited government controlling. Bangka Belitung island province as the biggest tin producer in Southeast Asia region notes history as the area stashing problem of tin resource management aspect. This paper highlighted the dark portrait of tin resource mining in Bangka Belitung by beholding the emerging impacts as the victims of this resource mining.

Bubu is a passive fishing gear. Bubu catches generally demersal fish and reef fish. Coral trout is a type of common consumption fish. Coral trout is an economically important demersal fish caught by fishermen in Belitung. This can be seen from the amount of production of coral trout from 2012 to 2016 is quite high with the highest production value in 2013 reaching 89,516 kg. This research aims to estimate the sustainable potential and level of utilization of coral trout in Belitung waters. This research was conducted in April - May 2019 at the Tanjungpandan Archipelago Fisheries Port (PPN), Belitung , Bangka Belitung Islands. The method used in this research is a survey method and analyzed descriptively quantitative. The sustainable potential of catching coral trout in Belitung waters shows that it is still below the MSY value graph because the effort of catching and producing fish to the CPUE value gives a positive value on the b (slope) value.
