I am writing to you to apply for the designation of the Parish as a Neighbourhood Area under Regulation 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012. We are required by this regulation to supply you, our local planning authority, with the following documentation or information (see below): 1. A map identifying the area that we wish to define as our Neighbourhood Area 2. A statement as to why this area is the appropriate area for our parish 3. Confirmation that Ivinghoe Parish Council is the relevant qualifying body to act as applicant for this Neighbourhood Area for the purposes of Section 61G of the 1990 Act The map enclosed with this letter is of the existing parish boundary and this is the area that we would like to apply for as our Neighbourhood Area. The area covered by the parish boundary map, takes in the village of Ivinghoe, the hamlet of Ivinghoe Aston and a small number of properties and associated land in Ringshall. After much consideration and with the aim of achieving a success at referendum stage, the Parish Council deems only the area within the parish boundary to be suitable for the development of our Neighbourhood Development Plan.
