Game time for the Big Ten West Division matchup is set for 11 a.m. with the contest televised by ESPN. Nebraska enters the game with an 8-2 overall record and a 4-2 mark in the Big Ten following a loss at Wisconsin Radio on Saturday. The loss left the Huskers tied with Minnesota and Iowa in the conference standings, a game behind Husker Sports Network the Badgers in the race for the West Division crown. Following the setback, Nebraska dropped to No. 19 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and to 21st in the Associated Press ranking. Greg Sharpe, Play-by-Play Saturday will mark Senior Day at Memorial Stadium, with 13 Husker seniors playing their final game in front of the Matt Davison, Analyst Nebraska faithful. The group includes Nebraska’s all-time leader in all-purpose yardage in Ameer Abdullah, as well as Lane Grindle, Sidelines the career leader in pass receptions and receiving yardage in Kenny Bell. The seniors will attempt to help Nebraska to a perfect home record for the second time in three seasons with a victory over the Gophers. The schools met 51 times before Nebraska joined the Big Ten in 2011. While Minnesota holds the overall advantage, Nebraska has won two of three games as Big Ten foes. His 66 wins trail only Osborne and Devaney on the NU wins list. Pelini joins Alabama’s Nick Saban as the only head coaches in the nation to win nine or more games each of the past six seasons. Minnesota: Jerry Kill (Southwestern College, ‘83) is in his fourth season as Minnesota’s head coach and his 21st season overall as a college head coach. Kill has guided the Gophers to a bowl game each of the past two years. Before taking over the Minnesota program, Kill served as a head coach at Saginaw Valley State, Pittsburg State, Emporia State, Southern Illinois and Northern Illinois. Kill’s teams have played in five bowl games in his career. Abdullah increased his season rushing Tommy Armstrong Jr.–20 carries, 17 yards, TD total to 1,319 yards moving him into the No. 10 spot on the Nebraska season rushing list. His total is the second-highest NU Passing Leader ever for a Husker senior, trailing only Mike Rozier’s 2,148 yards in 1983.
