Preview party gives fans the heads up on who will playing the 2017 Island Hopper Fest

LEE COUNTY, FLORIDA – Music lovers, get ready! With just two months until the 2017 Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, Cat Country 107.1 is giving music fans a sneak peek of what they can expect at the event. A preview party will be held Aug. 3 at Pinchers at The Marina at Edison Ford to highlight the upcoming music festival.

This year, two of Nashville’s best , Tim James and Danny Myrick, will be bringing their unique talents to historic downtown Fort Myers to kick off the party.

James has written songs for Toby Keith, , Lee Brice and George Strait. His song “All I Ask For Anymore” recorded by Trace Adkins was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Country Song of 2009, and Lee Brice’s “Love Like Crazy” was the 2010 Billboard Song of the Year. He also wrote the Rodney Atkins single “He’s Mine,” the George Strait No. 1 single “Give It All We Got Tonight,” and the title track and single from the Darius Rucker album “Southern Style.” James also has the upcoming single, “Either Way,” from the new Chris Stapleton album called “From A Room, Volume 1”.

Myrick sang background vocals on albums for artists like , Montgomery Gentry and Keith Anderson before directing his focus to writing songs. He has written songs that have been recorded by Tim McGraw (“Truck Yeah”), Craig Morgan (“International Harvester”) and Jason Aldean’s (“She’s Country").

“It’s just amazing to be kicking off our 4th Island Hopper Songwriter Fest. We’re also very excited Pincher’s has agreed to join our Festival as a sponsor as they are the type of Southwest Florida staple we hope the Island Hopper will become,” said Louis Kaplan, senior vice president of programming for iHeartMedia in Southwest Florida.
