2014 UNC 81-75 @Tucker Center Freshman Kennedy Meeks scored a career-high 23 points for North Carolina while Marcus Paige chipped in 20. Ian Miller made his first start of the season and led the Seminoles with 22 points, including five 3-pointers. His hot shooting out of the gate helped give Florida State a 21-6 lead. 2015 #15 UNC 78-74 @ Smith Center Freshman Xavier Rathan-Mayes scored the 4th most ever points y an oppoenent at the Smith Center and FSU over came double deficits twice to scare heavily favored North Carolina. XRM’s career high 35 points are the most ever scored bya FSU rookie. He scored 11 points in the last 47”. The 35 points are the 5th most ever scored by an ACC Freshman. ACC Pre-Season Player of the Year Marcus Paige led 4 Tar Heels in Double Figures with 19.

Seniors Brice Johnson and Marcus Paige were too much for the young Seminoles. Johnson 2016 #7 UNC 106 FSU 90 put on a clinic, scoring 39 points and grabbing 23 rebounds—both career highs, All Ameican Paige added 30 points(5-9 3pFG). Johnson became the first Tsr Heel in 51 years(Billy Cunningham) to score 30+ and grab 20+ rebounds. FSU was led by Xavier Rathan-Mayes with 30p(in 2 games against UNC he has scored 65p, 27.5avg) DwayneBacon added 18p, and Malik Beasly scored 15(14 straight games in double figures) UNC outscored FSU 65-53 in the 2nd half. 2017 #9 #11 UNC 96 #9 FSU 83 Win in Chapel Hill snapped FSU’s 4-0 start in ACC play—best in history Joel Berry scored a game high 26p, Justin Jackson and Isaiah Hicks each scored 22p for the Heels

2018 #24 FSU 81 #13 UNC 80 FSU built a 13 point lead in the first half, and held off UNC in the final minute to win for the first time in six seasons. Brian Angola led the NOles with 20p, CJ Walker added 18

2019 #8 UNC 77, #16 FSU 59 Cameron Johnson(18p), Nasir Little(18p) and Luke Maye(15p, 11rb) led Carolina to an easy win over FSU and snapped the Noles school record 8 game conference win streak. Grad David Nichols led FSU with 16p and SR Terrence Mann added 10.. Seminole starters made just 9 of 33 FG attempts(27.3%). UNC closed out the final 10:26 with a 21-7 run. It was FSU’s first loss since January 20th at Boston College. UNC has won 25 of the 29 meetings in Chapel Hill.

2020 #8 FSU 65 UNC 59 (2/3/20 Tucker Center) Freshman Patrick Williams scored 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds and the Charlotte native helped FSU withstand a furious finish by the Tar Heels. He made 4 FTs in the closing minute to slam the door. The Heels had cut the Seminoles 10p lead to 4. FSU took the lead with 11:38 left and never relinquished it. Trent Forrest had 14p, while RaiQuan Gray added 12---10 in the 2nd half. FSU out-rebounded UNC 43-37, and blocked 10 shots. Cole Anthony led UNC with 16 points---just 4 in the 2nd half.
