• Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata announced that Hyderabad will be made their aerospacehub, the company is setting up three joint venture projects in the Aerospace Special Economic Zone at Adibatla with an outlay of Rs 1,000 crore.

• Nova Integrated System Manufacturing radar and electronic equipment for defence, Tata Aero-structure Limited for assembling of aircraft equipment and Tata Aerospace Systems Limited for manufacturing aircraft parts are the three projects announced by the company.

•A cluster of 30 units to manufacture hi-tech defence and space components, apart from a major facility for integration of missile subsystems, would be coming up at the Aerospace and Precision Engineering SEZ at Adibatla.

•The state government had earmarked 100 acres of the Aerospace SEZ and another 93 acres for Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) and designated Telangana State industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) as developer and Samuha Engineering Industries Limited as co-developer to create world class infrastructure and generate global business in the area of aerospace, defence, nuclear and other high precision products.
