FARMERS HALL Built in 1866 by local farmers as a meeting hall and used as the Mount Laurel town hall until 1970, Farmers Hall is currently headquarters for the Mount Laurel Historical Society. The schoolhouse is the last remaining one-room Schoolhouse open to the public in Medford. The building is furnished as it would have appeared in 1857. It is open for a variety of activities. Completed in 1778, the grist mill remained in operation

until 1961. At the time, it was the last operating commercial

Completed in 1799, West Hill Manor was the home of Samuel and Susanna Emlen. It is an example of Federal style architecture with most of the original features intact. Susanna was one of the earliest breast cancer survivors in the United States, having surgery in the home in 1814. In 1851, the home was purchased by Eliza P. Gurney, a Quaker minister and social reformer. She was a correspondent with President Lincoln during the Civil War. West Hill has been continuously farmed since 1799.
