Should 20-year-old Tiafoe win the title, he will be the youngest American to win a title since 19-year-old Andy Roddick won at 2002 Houston, and he will be the first #NextGenATP American to win a title. Tiafoe will be the fourth consecutive American opponent standing in Gojowczyk's path to his second career title, after the German defeated John Isner, Reilly Opelka and Steve Johnson en route to the final.
