A simple matter apart from the fact that Jacob has a relationship with Jørgen, and Caroline lives with Tom, a pilot for SAS who happens to be Jørgen's brother. Tom is unaware of the budding relationship, but Jørgen can't help but notice what's going on – and when confronted by Jørgen, Jacob confesses to the affair. Heartbroken, Jørgen storms out on Christmas Eve and winds up in a car accident with severe consequences: he is blind in one eye. Jacob is plagued by guilt – but still cannot keep his hands off Caroline. Jacob and Jørgen reconcile and start from scratch, but when Caroline discovers that she's pregnant, Jacob is lost to the family project. He leaves Jørgen and, infuriating his friends, moves in with Caroline, until he stops to reconsider and finally makes his choice... 2 SHAKE IT ALL ABOUT A comedy by Hella Joof http://www.kortlang.jubii.dk// SYNOPSIS Jacob (Mads Mikkelsen) and Jørgen (Troels Lyby) are living together as a happy couple and planning on a summer wedding. Everything is as happy as can be! Until… One night when the light has that special glow… Jacob, the spoiled kid, who has always gotten everything he ever wanted, surprisingly falls in love with the couple’s mutual friend Caroline (Charlotte Munck). To make matters worse, Caroline is also the girlfriend of Jørgen’s brother, the pilot Tom (Jesper Lohmann). While denying and suppressing his new and very confusing feelings, Jacob and Caroline are getting more involved in their secret affair. Slowly though Jørgen and their friends (Peter Frödin, Henning Jensen, Morten Kirkov, among others) are getting more suspicious about the relationship. Caroline and Jacob continue their secret meetings and before long, by a stroke of faith, the fruit of their love is more obvious. Caroline is pregnant. Overwhelmed with confusing happiness, Jacob sets out on a rather peculiar and emotional roller coaster ride, where he must confront himself and his feelings. It’s time for Jacob to choose and it’s time for taking responsibility… But choosing is difficult when you want it all and you’re used to getting it…. Her debut in the director’s chair is a sparkling, warm and certainly contemporary comedy, about messing around in relationships, falling in love, having friends and about choosing the right one. The script is written by Hella Joof and actor Klaus Bondam. The film is based on an idea by Michael Christoffersen and Thomas Gammeltoft. Thomas Gammeltoft and Frank Hubner are the producers of the film. The executive producers on this comedy are Mogens Glad and Poul Erik Lindeborg from Angel Films A/S. The cast of the film represents some of the best Danish actors and actresses from television and the big screen. Mads Mikkelsen, playing the lead part of architect Jacob, adds a new “softer” and comical side to his acting. Troels Lyby and Charlotte Munck both show great talent and beautiful acting in their roles as Jørgen and Caroline. The other roles are strongly played by Jesper Lohmann, Peter Frödin, Klaus Bondam, Nikolaj Steen, Martin Brygmann, Ghita Nørby, Thomas Winding, Henning Jensen, Morten Kirkskov, Ditte Gråbøl, Pernille Højmark and Ellen Hillingsø. 4 FILMOGRAPHY HELLA JOOF Educated from the Acting School at Odense Theatre in 1990, Hella Joof has since then worked at several of the big theatres in Copenhagen and acted in a number of Danish films.     THE END OF THE CURATOR: ON CURATORIAL ACTS AS COLLECTIVE PRODUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE Corina Oprea Doctoral Studies and Research in Philosophy Loughborough University – School of the Arts, English & Drama, England June 14, 2016 Supervisors: Dr. Gillian Whiteley and Melanie Jordan (2011-2013) ABSTRACT The End of The Curator: On Curatorial Acts as Collective Production of Knowledge explores the convoluted liaison between knowledge production, collectivity and curating, through practices that have been neglected by mainstream curatorial platforms and art history. Bearing in mind the extensive usage of the notion ‘knowledge production’, my practice–based research is guided by the question what forms of collective knowledge can curatorial practice produce? This PhD submission comprises practical and theoretical parts, as follows: 1. An investigative part, that contextualizes and problematizes theoretical notions in relation to curatorial practice, as well as formulating statements for the practices and potentials of curatorial acts. 2. Practice-based curatorial research, in the form of four projects realized in the course of this research, which are used as test sites for the ideas examined in the analytical part. Introducing the inquiry in a wider historical, social and political context, the first chapter of the dissertation traces the background of curatorial history and the social and political context of the past decade in relation to collective acts in the form of exhibitions and pedagogical platforms. The main case studies are the practices of Martha Rosler, Marion von Osten and Kuratorisk Aktion. The second chapter focuses on the epistemology of the concepts of knowledge, collectivity, participation and dissensus through theoretical references. Assuming the character of practice-based research, the third chapter of the thesis reflects on interrogations associated with participatory research within the curatorial projects.
