I have supported ACE and its members in other ways as well. I have donated to ACE’s Preservation Fund and the National Roller Coaster Museum and Archives (NRCMA) through purchasing many auction items and have also donated numerous items for auction. I have supported members in fundraising for Give Kids The World (Cedar Fair events) and a Walk in the Park (Six Flags New England event). Preservation is always important to me, and I have supported Leap the Dips, Zippin Pippin and other preservation efforts. I have also donated many items to the NRCMA, which continues to promote the protection and preservation of roller coasters and artifacts and memorabilia.

My first ACE national event was the 1994 Spring Conference at Stricker’s Grove, Kings Island and Kentucky Kingdom. I had no idea what to expect at an ACE event and had never even heard of Stricker’s Grove, the first park of the weekend. My husband, Bob, and I arrived, found registration and, as they say, the rest is history. ACE had the whole park for the after-

Along with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a minor in physics, I have a minor in accounting. Because of this background and my analytical nature, I have a proper understanding and respect for the canons of finance and the rules that need to be observed.

My Qualifications My current relevant qualifications include holding the elected office of treasurer for the Scranton District of the National Forensics League. In that capacity I collect dues and fees, balance the books and manage the bank account and finances for high school speech and debate teams all over Northeast Pennsylvania. I am entrusted to maintain a positive ledger while financing all events and tournaments that function across multi- ple counties in Pennsylvania.
