2005, Established the Program in Film Studies within the College of Arts and Sciences, with a new interdisciplinary BA in Film Studies, featuring c. 50 courses taught by some seventeen highly qualified film studies faculty members located in nine different departments.

2003-2005, Served on the committee developing an MFA in digital animation at the Advanced Center for Art and Design (ACCAD).

1979-1990, Created, raised outside state, national, and private funding for, and directed the Department of Photography and Cinema Public Programs, an outreach project featuring alternative public screenings and weekly visiting filmmakers, video artists, and photographers. This program was absorbed by the Wexner Center and evolved into their Media Arts Program.

1979, Raised $65,000 to add fifty important titles from the history of cinema to the OSU audio-visual collection, establishing the interdisciplinary film studies collection.
