Please use the appropriate resolution for your needs. Zombie Cab Impulse Responses, otherwise known as “IR's” can be loaded into any Impulse Response loader or hardware device that allows loading of 3rd party Impulse Responses in the “.wav” format. If you don't already have an Impulse Response loader, on our site you will find a link to download our favorite Impulse Response loader, Nadir by Ignite Amps. At Zombie Cabs, our vision is to supply the end user with the best guitar speaker cabinet IR's available. IR's that sound and feel like a signal ran through a real tube amp was priority. To achieve this, it was important to capture each speaker cabinet with the cleanest/ highest resolution signal but to capture them with real world guitar tube amps. It is our opinion, that leaving the tube guitar power amp section out of the equation is a big fault of other IR makers. The power amp section of an amp can be just as big a part of your tone as a speaker or microphone. We think you will agree! There are 5 different cabs in this free demo package, with 2 examples each, utilizing the same mic and position. We suggest to A/B each IR with different amps to hear and feel the difference each amp can make. Mic Position 1 is center of speaker. Mic Position 2 is at cap edge. Some User Tips: Using a DAW along with amplifier simulation software: If you are using a guitar amp sim that does not allow loading of third party IR's, Disable the Cab part on your amp sim, if allowable. Then follow that on your mixer channel with an IR loader such as Nadir. Ex: Guitar>DAW Interface>Amp Sim> Nadir Using a real guitar amplifier or guitar preamp: Using your real amp or guitar preamp is usually a better way to get a more accurate real tube amp sound. Connect your guitar PREAMP OUTPUT or amplifier's FX SEND into your DAW and place Nadir on that track. This is an excellent way of not committing to track your final speaker sound until mix down. Thus, finding the right IR that works with your mix. Using a speaker ATTENUATOR or REACTIVE LOAD box with a DI output: In our opinion, this option is the best way to achieve optimum tone if you have these tools available. Just run your DI output of your load box into your DAW followed by favorite IR loader. This option allows you to retain all of your tube amp's juicy goodness. All of your power tube and output transformer dynamics are present here and will offer the most realistic way to capture real tube amp tone and feel without the use of a speaker cab and mics. NOTE: only use this method if you have the knowledge of how these units work. Serious harm can come to your amplifier if not done correctly. Please consult your amplifiers manual/manufacturer and the load box's manual, etc for proper usage. Tip to experiment on a track: For example, use different IRs on your guitar track. Maybe the verse part use an EL34 based IR and on the chorus part use the same cab but with a 6L6 based IR. Can make your track more lively!
