Centering on the reminiscences of Rose McNulty, a woman who has spent over fifty years in state institutions, The Secret Scripture is a deeply moving story of love lost and redeemed, against the backdrop of an emerging Irish state in which female sexuality and independence unsettles the colluding patriarchies of church and nationalist politics. Demonstrating Sheridan’s trademark skill with actors, his profound sense of story, and depth of feeling for Irish social history, The Secret Scripture marks a return to personal themes for the writer-director as well as a reunion with producer Noel Pearson, almost a quarter of a century after their breakout success with My Left Foot.

The completion of the film marks the culmination of a journey begun decades ago. when Pacino was touring colleges in the late 70’s talking to students who were reluctant to listen to Shakespeare and couldn’t see the relevance of his works. “But we would talk informally about the play and then I would read an excerpt” explains Pacino. MILLENNIAL PINK: FROM IPHONE TO RIHANNA AN ANALYSIS OF A COLOR TREND Kévin Bideaux LEGS (UMR 8238), Université Paris 8 ; Centre Français de la Couleur, Paris ; [email protected] Publié dans : Veronica Marchiafava & Lia Lauzzato (dir.), 2018. Colour and Colorimetry. Multidisciplinary Contributions , XIV B, pp. 293-302. Mots-clés: millennial pink, tendances, marketing genré, symbolique des couleurs ABSTRACT In August 2016, fashion journalist Véronique Hyland wrote an article in New York Magazine where she noted that a wave of pink was gradually invading the world of fashion and design.
