    1 Acer Corporate Responsibility Report 2009 About this Report About this Report This is Acer's second corporate responsibility report highlighting the company's perspectives, actions and achievements concerning corporate social responsibility, key sustainability issues and future initiatives to be taken. The first report was published in August 2009, entitled "2008 Acer Corporate Social Responsibility Report." Acer is expected to release the report on an annual base. In principle, we define the organizational boundaries of inclusion according to our consolidated financial statement; there were no significant differences between 2008 and 2009. The reporting covers data collected from Acer's subsidiaries and branch offices, excluding spin-offs, solely over the course of year 2009 (January 1~December 31, 2009). Content structure of the report is organized in keeping with the Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI G3). Due to the fact that many data- collecting systems are being built in succession, certain performance data have yet to be included.
