• 18 locations across the country

• Over 50 TMG Professionals

• Mail Services / Shipping and Receiving

• Our solution includes execution technology NEEDS IN 2016

• In concert with its Integrated Facilities Management provider, Financial Services Company sourced a new Managed Services solution for its daily Mail, Shipping & Receiving services among it’s national corporate portfolio

• Services were executed previously by Novitex, formerly known as Pitney Bowes Management Services

• TMG was successfully awarded a multi-year agreement to replace Novitex for staffing, management and execution technology – specifically a receiving platform for all inbound accountable mail and parcels.

• Novitex had been using the Pitney Bowes Arrival platform NEEDS IN 2016

• Under a stand alone agreement with the Financial Services Company, Novitex was also providing desktop shipping via the Arrival platform

• The system only offered UPS and Fedex shipping and was coming up on term conclusion

• After the successful roll out of Brynka’s receiving technology, TMG presented the Financial Services Company with Brynka’s shipping tool as a replacement and perfect compliment to its site services

• After the incumbent’s solution proved to be significantly more expensive and less robust, the Financial Services Company approved TMG’s recommendation of Brynka shipping

• Implementation was a group effort led by TMG to customize the solution with direct engagement by Brynka PROPOSED SHIPPING SYSTEM

• BrynkaShip is a cloud-based, multi-carrier shipping system that will allow the Financial Services Company employees to rate shop between FedEx, UPS, USPS and DHL

• The BrynkaShip system offers an intuitive interface to create carrier compliant labels, customs invoices for international shipments

• Allows one to maintain a personal address book

• Provides shipping history that will link to the carrier website

• Ability to export your history through a powerful Ad-Hoc reporting tool

• With automated Department ID validation all shipments will be processed and billed appropriately SHIPPING SOFTWARE

• Provide a multi-carrier rate shopping system for UPS, FedEx, DHL and USPS

• Cost Center validation and chargeback with their 3rd party billing system

• Shippers would be provided with rate shop results to determine best cost at desired delivery date and be able to create their own shipping labels

• Designed a custom messaging platform called EVA (Extra Value Assistant) to provide informative messaging to users about various carrier options SHIPPING ROLL-OUT

• Implementation started in September of 2016

• Implementation completed in November of 2016

• 50 Locations (Expanded to up to 100 locations) • UPS, FEX, DHL, USPS

• Shippers create their own shipping labels

• Rate Shopping

• Reporting for volumes, cost centers, and potential savings SHIPPING CULTURE

• The Financial Services Company understood that introducing a true rate shopping application would impact the current culture of shippers selecting what they thought was the best carrier/service

• We needed to build trust in the results and change the culture to accept the alternatives to what was in their minds EVA

• To address the culture change, we needed a good way to communicate the benefits of alternative carriers. In cooperation with TMG and our client, we Company has instituted a new On Demand Policy with a strategy to process packages with a 2 day service as a default. This created EVA (Extra Value Assistant) process will align with our overall shipping practices. BrynkaShip will now automatically rate shop and choose the best method to ship your packages. If you need to make a different selection, you can use the new Exception button to rate shop the services available to you. • EVA would be the first landing page for all shippers. It would present a new message about shipping that would enforce education and on topic tidbits

• Users could cycle through past messages

• This was instrumental with hurricane IRMA to provide timely carrier information related to the hurricane

• This tool provides carrier information, best practices, upcoming training, and valuable company messaging ON DEMAND

• Over time, we have moved the Financial Services Company to an On Demand model where the Brynka software chooses the rate shop winner automatically

• Only administrators can override the rate shop results

• This allows the software to determine the best carrier and service, capturing more savings

• A challenge screen also requires an explanation for why a user is selecting a higher cost service than what the system provided

• All these options over time, will change the shipping culture at the Financial Services Company and provide information to management on reasons why shipments are being processed in specific ways and most importantly, capturing the best cost savings SHIPPING RESULTS

• Over the years, as we analyzed the data, we customized the software to meet the goals of the Financial Services Company (cost savings) but provide an easy and intuitive shipping platform for their users

• This continues to be an ongoing project, with hard data to make those decisions PERCENT OF SPEND FOR EACH CARRIER PER YEAR COMPARISON OF CARRIER CHARGES PER YEAR CUMULATIVE COMPARISON OF CARRIER CHARGES 2017 -2010 POTENTIAL SAVINGS

• The amount of savings left on the table by allowing shippers to override the rate shop results

• In 2019, we moved to an On Demand model, that allowed BrynkaShip to select the best rate. Overrides could only be done by an Administrator

• This helped capture greater cost savings SUMMARY

• The data tells us that FedEx is still the best method to ship packages based on discounted rates

• Through carrier negotiation, the Financial Services Company procured better rates for UPS between 2018 and 2019, seeing a spike in volume with that carrier

• During the Pandemic, with more at home workers, there was a large spike almost doubling the amount of USPS packages being shipped due to better residential fees

• 4% decrease in potential cost savings from 2017 to 2020 THANK YOU QUESTIONS 04 CONTACT INFORMATION
